Don't let that stop you. This thread was a livejournal for quite a few of us at one point.

I imagine everyone else is at the same point in the semester in which they are fucked?

on a lighter note I did hear some hilariously bad death/grind/slam band today, apparently though the band decided that the sound which exits the front door is far less br00tal then that which exits the rear especially after what I can only assume was one incredibly spicy and dodgy take-away curry

Is this English?

I hate wasps. They expend a ridiculous amount of ingenuity and energy getting around the screen on my window then cannot figure out how to get out.

You should punch the wasps in the dick.

That'll learn them.

Walking on campus today and the creepy biblethumper guy started harassing me. I saw him from afar and as soon as he reached for his pamplet I said 'NO!' and just kept repeating that and he just started following me so I flipped him off as I was walking away and he just kept yelling at me. I was rather upset by the whole thing. Kinda flustered and just wanted to punch him in the nose. My DsO shirt quotes fucking Amos for christ's sake. Leave me the fuck alone, creepy dude.

ok only thrashtildeth will know what I'm talking about here as if that actually matters

I feel great, just watched my footy team turn around a 41 point deficit and beat West Coast by 5 points, never in my wildest dreams did I think going into AFL season 2013 Port Adelaide would be 5 wins from 5 games when they only managed 5 wins for the entire season last year

Girlfriend and I sorted out the kissing other people thing (It can happen, but there are rules! I like rules.) but apparently our relationship is still not very stable because we both feel like we're putting in more than we're getting out. (She thinks I'm not very good at taking care of her; I think I spend a lot of time and energy taking care of her, but slipped up once because she'd just told me about kissing another guy.) She's having doubts about coming to Montreal with me. So I feel like I should be looking for a place to live for August, but I don't know whether I should be looking for both of us or just myself, which is awkward.

I also talked to girl I used to like a lot on facebook and it made me giddy and I'm afraid of being in a city where she's the only person I know because that sounds like a recipe for unhappiness.

On the other hand I'm doing lots of knitting, stretching, writing, dancing, and clarinet so those are good things. I want to learn to sing more jazz standards and other more complicated music because covering tons of The National songs is getting old.

Not yoga, not working out, just stretching? Such an odd child.

If I was this girl's friend, I would probably tell her not to move with you. Umm, Sgt D says it better than I ever could:
Quote:
3. Moving for other people never, ever, ever EVER works out
As far as moving for someone else, DO NOT EVER DO IT. And don’t ever let anyone do it for you, either. First of all, your relationship goes from 0 to 100 literally overnight. You go from seeing each other very infrequently to seeing each other 24/7 with no adjustment period, and if you don’t see the problems with that I don’t know what to tell you. Second, the person who moves is completely dependent on the other person– they usually don’t have friends or family in the area, a job, or any other support structures and that is a fucking ton of pressure to put on anyone. And if things aren’t going well, they’ll naturally get bitter and resentful at the other person for “making them move.”

Basically, you should only move somewhere if you would move there even if you were single. You have to be brutally honest with yourself on this– don’t talk yourself into thinking it’s going to be ok, because it won’t be. If you move for someone else, the relationship will inevitably fall apart, and you’ll be stuck alone in some place you don’t like. If someone moves for you, you’ll feel guilty as fuck when they’re stuck somewhere because of you and probably stay with them way longer than you should because you feel bad.

That sounds like good advice. I've been trying to not think of it as her following me since she was a big part of the reason I chose Montreal.

back in the day when it hadn't even occurred to me to end our relationship!!

Am I the only one wondering what a "mariachi opera" is?
