I have a Gibson Les Paul (it's four years old now but it was the first guitar I bought after getting my first guitar for christmas), a Dean ML (which is about three years old now) and a Dean Razorback Skull graphic (which is about a year and a half old) I'd like to take the EMG 83/85 active pickups from the ML and put them in the Razorback though the Duncan Dimebucker/DMT DimeTime pickups that come as standard just don't give me the tone I want

Nice guitars Rel. I have an Ibanez S520X (3 years old) and my first guitar, a Gibson Epiphone about 15 years old. I don't use the Gibson anymore, but didn't feel right to sell it. I have it decorating one of my rooms. I'm currently learning the song Concerto by Cacophony.

I've only been playing a year. I have a very cheap fender strat made in china. Haha. But it does the job for now. I suck. But I'm getting better. I can play a lot of Agalloch's the mantle minus the solos. I haven't had a lesson yet either. I need to start getting lessons. I watch a lot of you tune videos and get online lessons but it not the same as reall teacher. I can play a lot of kill em all minus solos. And a lot of grunge stuff. Alice in chains a lot. Been drinking sorry for spelling.

I can play Metallica's Fade To Black and For Whom The Bell Tolls, plus parts of Ride The Lightning, Creeping Death, Battery, Master Of Puppets and a couple songs from Kill 'Em All plus part of Slayer's Raining Blood, Megadeth's Hangar 18 and Holy Wars...The Punishment Due plus part of Symphony Of Destruction, can also play Die - Dream Evil, Black Sabbath - Neon Knights, Iced Earth - Iced Earth, Black Sabbath - Paranoid, Iron Maiden - Number Of The Beast, Judas Priest - Breaking The Law, Led Zepplin - Stairway To Heaven, and a couple of AC/DC tracks, plus some other stuff I didn't choose to learn, I'd like to learn some Anathema and My Dying Bride tracks but as my guitar teacher dislikes metal that would probably be pushing it a little too far (vocals)

Get a new guitar teacher dude!

I'm sure your teacher is a good teacher, but in all honesty you have to be able to learn the songs you wanna learn otherwise you won't enjoy yourself.

I'm trying to narrow the range of songs I learn so I will just pick doom or progressive metal from now on (aiming to start a band playing progressive doom at some point) but yeah when there are certain bands that its best to avoid (if my hypothesis is correct, haven't actually decided to test it yet as I've been content to stick with cleaner vocalled metal) it does get a little frustrating, then again its not like I have a shortage of awesome stuff I can play so I could live with it and just learn a couple songs online, I'm thinking a slowed right down and tuned down version of Judas Priest's Victim Of Changes would be a pretty cool cover so I may learn that next

Thrash is correct. They say when choosing a guitar teacher you should choose someone who likes similar music as you. This hard for people like us on the fringes listening to bands that 99.9 percent of regular people have never heard of. But yeah, i can play the first two riffs from master of puppets very well. Breaking the law was one of the first riffs I learned. Symphony of destruction is a cool easy riff. I can play most black sabbath songs minus most of the solos. Hanger 18 I can play the main riff. Some pink Floyd- wish you were here. The comfortably numb solos as well. A lot of bush songs even though I haven't listened to a bush song in about 8 years. Nirvana, AiC, fly away by Lenny shithead kravits. I learned that last one simply to try and get better at bar chords and it worked. I can play mazzy stars fade into you. Lightning crashes by live, goddamn I hate that song but really good for learning bar chord changes. I can play a lot of shit actually now that I think about it. I'm no where near being "good" but I'm happy with my progress considering I've only played for a little less than a year and I never had a lesson.

Currently uploading my music library on to the Google cloud in order to listen to it off of my phone. Does this mean the govt is going to track me down?

I smoked two whole entire packs of new ports today. Cough cough. I'm really thinking about running to the store cause I'm not tired and I need nicotine in my life.

Nah. No speed. Idk why man. Today was just one of those days I guess. I bought a pack on the way to work at like 6:30. I didn't have any so I started smoking that pack when I bought it. By the time lunch came around at like 1-1:30 I had 2 left. Got a pack when I picked up lunch. They were gone about a half hour ago. I don't even remember smoking that much. Idk....

Hey man, what's the difference anyway? We are all on borrowed time anyhow. But goddamn. I normally smoke a pack a day. How did I smoke a pack of cigarettes in 5 hours?? Idk.

Nah, don't sweat it man, I don't really give a shit. I was just having a laugh because the only time I've ever seen someone smoke that much was when they were tweaking the fuck out on drugs!

Ha! I wasn't thinking you were breaking my balls I just took my explanation to a dark place. That's kind of what I do. Lol. I hear ya though. I haven't smoked like that in a very long time. Since I used to get high. Very strange. But I swear aside from the 3 very strong drinks I made earlier at my dads I'm clean as a whistle. For what it's worth.

My sack has a weird stench after I get done walking back and forth around work, sometimes when I get my palm really deep inbetween my ass hairs and crack it smells like mold. Pretty neat shit.
