And how are Nile and Hate Eternal currently 'Modern Death Metal'? And wtf is Modern Death Metal anyways?

i don't know exactly what ''modern death metal'' is, but i know what it's not: albums like Pestilence's Consuming Impulse, Obituary's Slowly We Rot, Suffocation's Effigy of the Forgotten, Deicide's self titled, Morgoth's Cursed, Morbid Angel's Blessed are the Sick, Gorefest's Mindloss, Death's Scream Bloody Gore, Possessed's 7 Churches and so on...stuff that has definitely nothing to do with the likes of Behemoth, Hate eternal or Nile.

What year did Nile form? Who did Karl Sanders' previous band play live with? Eric Rutan, of Hate Eternal, used to be in Morbid Angel, Doug Cerrito, of Suffocation, played on HE's first album... I mean, check your facts, at the least. You're just spouting shit. Yes, some classic Death Metal albums are not 'modern'. What a fucking genius observation!

Not ''some'', but ''most'' of them...

And btw, the fact that VIO-lence is awesome doesn't make Machine Head less shitty, if you see what i mean...

Exactly. The only real thing to be construed as fact would be that old/classic stuff is old, which leaves everything under the sun as "modern".Nile have never sold out, they have their fans, due to their uniqueness, but they haven't sold out.I have also never heard anybody talk about HE outside of a forum, that's how obscure they are.And they have ALWAYS been known for their relentless doublebass, its Hate Eternal, its what they do.You don't like double bass?Maybe you might want to lay off the rock and metal. It doesn't sound like you are a fan of extreme styles.

I like Behemoth, much moreso with their current death leanings.Zos Kia Cultus and Demigod are phenomenal. So they want to earn some money,at least they are genuinly working for it.I look forward to Evangelion(I'll always think of the anime when I hear or see this).Selling out would be Cryptopsy, and I still like both them and TUS.

If you can't see the progression from early Deicide or Death to this then you're an idiot. Yeah it isn't exactly the same but if it was you'd be crying foul as if it was retro thrash. Christ if I want to listen to Pestilence I would listen to Pestilence not Behemoth.

I like the way the radio announcer from Resevoir Dogs pronounces "behemoth".

Sorry, stub, but I have to agree with this. The relationship between Maiden/Metallica/BFMV is nothing like as close as Deicide/Hate Eternal, Behemoth etc.

the hell?

How can a death metal band 'sell out?' their maximum audience is like 1/8000th of any real mainstream bands and the taste of that audience is always pretty inclusive. Is it 'selling out' if you sign with century media and make silly videos? Okay, I guess every metal band that didn't break up by 1998 sold out, everyone go home, we're all listening to sellouts.

seriously, this is a ridiculous assertion and the backlash against Behemoth is probably just another one of those 'RRRGH THIS BAND ISN'T OBSCURE ANYMORE TIME TO SHOW EVERYONE HOW AWESOME I AM BY HATING ON IT FOR STUPID REASONS RRRRRRRGH' things.

The only death metal band that remotely "sold out" was Cryptopsy with their last pile of shit. But you could also see it as they just started to suck, more than selling out.

So...

I don't like Behemoth because they are popular now? Thank god that's cleared up. I always thought that I didn't like them, was because I DIDN"T LIKE THEM. But now there is a valid reason behind it. Thank's again.

yes, I was clearly talking to you, the person who has never liked Behemoth, when I made specific references to people who say Behemoth 'sold out' or are in the process of 'selling out,.'

on a COMPLETELY UNRELATED note, have you considered selling a series of phonics comprehension books called DevotedWalnutOnPhonics which teaches the delicate art of shoehorning yourself into everything?
