Yes they sure do. So do Tygers on Pan Tang. Another band I got my narrow minded buddy into last night! That makes me even more awesome than before! God I am too good to be true.

You've been on a Sabbath binge lately, I see...
The best band ever? I daresay, yes... certainly, they were pioneers.

They are definitely one of my favourites. Almost everything they did was awesome. The late Ozzy stuff wasn't so nice, but some of it was still enjoyable. I've never heard a full album with Tony Martin yet though. But I have heard Born Again, so that may make up for it.

NP: Gammacide -- Endangered Species

No, Heaven and Hell owns... but it is different, and strange, though quite good... Mob Rules has it's moments (Voodoo, Sign Of The Southern Cross) but still... not the classic line-up that produced A National Acrobat, Into the Void and the rest.
re: Gammacide, I'll check 'em out.

What are your thoughts on Born Again and Seventh Star? Born Again I like, just took a few listens to really dig it. Seventh Star has like 2 good songs IMO. The opening track, In For the Kill, and the long bluesy song, Heart Like A Wheel.

Anyway...

Basically a noise record with rapping. Would I get slaughtered if I reviewed it favourably? I'd have to talk about why the rapping is good, which no-one would like... you guys are much less likely to go shitstorm than the forum two years ago, but surely even you have your limits... or maybe I should just say fuck it and do it.

I'd say no. I hate to bring up the whole "Metal" Reviews thing, but I will.

Yeah, it is a step too far. Was trying to mentally sort out the review whilst listening like I do sometimes, and it woud have been cheesecat x infinity.

Born Again is prettydecent, Ian Gillan has got some badass pipes, anything after I am not too big on, a few good tracks scattered here and there over the years, but that's about it.

Realm -- Slay the Opressor :dio:

Mr. Iommi really got lost in the world music after Born Again. Hopefully Heaven and Hell can bring him back to greatness.

EDIT: I forgot Dehumanizer. Silly me. But that was 17 years ago...

No matter, Tony Iommi's place in music history is firmly cemented, as is Geezer's and Ward's and Ozzy's.
The less that stellar output following the classic Sabbath period is more than made up for with albums such as Vol. 4, Master of Reality and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

Oh I know that they are at the top of the metal latter, and will always be there.

I was just saying how he seemed to hit a wall after 1983. He got over the wall in 1992, but has since to find the door again.

I am hoping that the new Heaven and Hell album is awesome and he never needs to climb over said wall again.

Cantata Sangui - On Rituals And Correspondence In Constructed Realities

Experimental Gothic Metal, two bassists, no guitars. Good stuff.
