Alright dudes and dudettes, I'm a bit miffed, but mostly jolly. Here is the funny story:
Today was pay day at work. The following picture documents how I was feeling and what I was wearing (the nevermore shirt is essential to the story) Remember, it's friday, I just bought this cool-ass shirt yesterday, and I finally figured out how to correctly transfer from my current uni to another one, so I was in a really good mood:
So anyway, I go to the counter where I normally pick up my check. After finding out that they are all in another room, I politely say ok, smile and walk off. Then the lady at the counter says, "Hmm...Nevermore, is that a band?" After excitedly telling her they were my favorite band, briefly mentioning that they are from Seattle and have a really great singer, she says "uh-huh" like she is not really listening, for she has somehting else to say. Then... she says it:
"Metal, hmm... are they satanic?" At this point, I was contemplating saying "of course they're fucking satanic", but rather than be rude, I gave a small chuckle and said "No". Now, after I establish they are not satanic, she says THIS:
"BUT THERE IS A DEMON ON YOU'RE SHIRT."
I start laughing more now and said just cause it looks intimidating doesn't mean it's a demon.
At that point she gave up and I walked off. Much hilarity ensued.
I guess since I was neither apologetic, nor rude, she wasn't quite sure how to react. All I know is that this shirt just got a whole lot cooler.
