Matt Smith is a fucking clown! I love it.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Theocracy have set "Skeletor Goes to Mars" as the title of their soon-to-be-released sophomore album. Yes, you read that right. "Skeletor Goes to Mars."
"I know a lot of people will complain about it, but we thought it was just crazy enough to work," says vocalist and songwriter Matt Smith. "To be honest, there are so many bands out there nowadays, you really have to do something unique to stand out from the crowd. I think this title and cover will definitely get some attention." He maintains, however, that the title was more than just a blatant attempt to market a recognizable product. "I've gotten kind of tired of everything being so serious all the time in Metal. I mean we're guilty of that as well, and we're a serious band, but there's a lot of humor on this album, and we really wanted that to shine through in the title. We like to joke around and have a good time, so why not let that extend to our music?"
Lest his band be mistaken for a comedy act, Smith maintains that there are plenty of heady messages behind the album's lyrics. "'Skeletor Goes to Mars,' the track itself, is very metaphorical. It is an epic that may seem silly on the outside, but there is a lot of truth behind the characters and story in that song. And the more lighthearted imagery on the album is tempered by some pretty intense subject matter. This isn't a Weird Al album, that's for sure."
Smith is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on the 12-song album, which is scheduled for a summer release.
