Thanks for the insult. Why do you mind the fact so much that I bring everybody dissing nu-metal constantly and you making a problem about it in contact with your preference of some nu-metal bands, isn't that entirely logical?
My insult was only in response to yours. You know by bringing up the nu-metal thing you're trying dearly to push my buttons.

Dude, I know that you have a broad taste in music, you say it's broader than Stefan's and mine together, and we all know that's ridiculous, but you're open-minded and I respect that. Maybe it's something personal, you admitted that you have a problem with people that have a different opinion, you "can't let it go", in your own words.
You're misquoting me. I said I have issues occasionally with letting things go, but I never said the reason was because people have a different opinion than me. That's ridiculous. 90% of the bands I post about here are bands that other people claim they dislike. There would be flamewars up and down this forum if what you're suggesting is correct. Yes, occasionally online I have a tendency to draw something out longer than necessary. But it is in no way a result of me not being able to handle someone having a different opinion.
And yes, my tastes are broader.

I have the same problem sometimes. When people say "it sucks" about the music I like, then it annoys me because they don't tell me what sucks, so I can't respond to any point they made because they didn't give any factually wrong information or interpretations. Maybe this annoys you too? In my case, however, people generally just don't care and don't say "it sucks" because they have not heard it, in your case you just get thirty people smiting the band you like. Conclusively, I can very well imagine you have a big problem with that, it must be very annoying.
It sure is annoying. And stupid.

But that does not have anything to do with people not being allowed to smite bands they previously liked, it's very much the same as smitingbands you've never liked. There is no difference. So the question pops up whether one is allowed to smite bands, and I don't see why not, freedom of speech etc. People might make themselves appear dumb if they continue it for too long, but that's not our problem. I think Holy Terror is a very silly person with his elite bullshit, but that's his choice and I don't want to bother with it.
People are allowed to do whatever they please. I just don't think it makes any sense slandering something you used to enjoy. Music isn't drugs or alcohol; to me it doesn't make sense to turn around and go, "Yeah, I used to love it, but that shit fucking sucks!" But people are free to dislike something after a time. I just don't see how you can once like something, then declare it terrible.
