Am I the only one here that doesn't like Ozzy's music for the most part. I think Black Sabbath is "Ok", their kind of boring to me. Im just curious to see if anybody else thinks likewise.

I used to back in the day, but now he bores me to tears. Plus him and his harpy wife have zero credibility now. Sabbath is still good to me, though.

I don't really have strong feelings one way or the other, although I do enjoy "Mr. Crowley" and "Bark At The Moon" for various reasons. Sharon does not strike me as a pleasant person, though.

solo Ozzy sucks balls. but the first six Sabbath releases are sacred relics that hardly anyone can touch.

Can't say I much appreciate the rising tide of anti-Ozzy feeling just because he's a TV whore now. he ruled for five glorious years.

I have very mixed feelings of the Ozzman. Here it goes:

Blizzard Of Ozz - I can see where this album became really popular, but I actually find it to be quite overrated. I guess if I was a fan back in 1980 (errr, I wasn't even BORN until about two years later), I would absolutely love this album. But here in 2006, it's actually pretty tame for a "shock rock" album.

Diary Of A Madman - Definite Classic. Believer is one of my absolute favorite Ozzy songs.

Bark At The Moon - Haven't really listened to.

The Ultimate Sin - Has its moments. Never, Shot In The Dark, Killer of Giants and Lightning Strikes are great songs. The first two being among my favorite Ozzy songs. Secret Loser and the title track (despite Ozzy singing in a surprisingly relaxed tone) are good too. The rest is kind of "Ehhh, not bad but nothing really spectacular."

No Rest For The Wicked - One of my two favorite Ozzy albums! Crazy Babies, Miracle Man, Devil's Daughter, Fire In The Sky. All great songs!

No More Tears - My other favorite Ozzy album. EVERY song on here (with the possible exception of Hellraiser) is classic. You MUST buy this.

Ozzmosis - Haven't seriously listened to yet.

Down To Earth - Booooooooooring. Ozzy sounds tired and like he's trying too hard to pretend he's still in his 30s. The songs sound very forced and almost whiney (*cough* Gets Me Through *cough*). Oh well, at least Zakk Wylde can still play guitar.

So overall, I do like Ozzy. But some Ozzy records are better than others, so don't base your judgement on just one album.

I've never really sat through an album, but I grew up with family members listening to him and his voice always seemed to bother me and its just music I don't overall really care for.

Ozzy's solo stuff is comparable to Sabbath's work: very hit or miss.

I have Diary of a Madman and Blizzard of Ozz. i like them but i wouldnt score them over 90. They would be in the mid to high 80's. Mr Crowley though, that is an incredible song! Only Ozzy song to really brag me by the balls so far.

As for Black Sabbath, i only have Paranoid and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is ok, not that great, but i really like Paranoid. I would score it 94/100. I like a record thats consistenly awesome, not patchy, and Paranoid and hit or miss for me. Its all hit.

Ozzy on his own is all right, BS I find rather dull compared to some modern bands (check Witchcraft out).

Black Sabbath is a monolith.

Ozzy's solo stuff is very hit and miss.

I still have respect for Ozzy, he is a big name in the history of metal.

Oh. I should probably mention I also like his Beavis and Butt-Head Do America song (Walk On Water). Though I have to wonder why they used a different version in the movie. Oh well, both versions kick ass.

I like his solo stuff more than Sabbath. I prefer Sabbath without Ozzy.

fuck, man, Ozzy is God! but Sharon's tried to turn him into a mainstream pop-person. Ozzy can still sing the balls of most people and has one of the most recognizable voices in rock. my guitar teacher says ozzy's a "love him or hate him" kinda thing... but I can't see how anyone could hate Ozzy... but yes, except for a few great songs, Down To Earth is pretty boring...

I always thought Ozzy's singing voice sounded like a typical classic rock vocalist's voice. Not good, not bad, but distinguishable enough so that you knew it was him. He actually sounds like a more woozy Roger Taylor if you really think about it.

For that matter, you could say Andi Deris sounds like a less drugged out Ozzy.

ozzy's musical talent is pretty crappy if you ask me, but it kinda fitted BS pretty good. But now, with sharon and him+the little kiddies..he sucks more ass than your average rival at work
