I saw Finntroll, Sodom and some local bands last night. Finntroll and Sodom were amazing, one of the local bands was pretty good, the other two were in various stages of sucking.

I'm seeing that show tonight, and I'm really looking forward to it. What was Sodom's setlist like?

Never mind, saw the show, completely fucktackularly awesome. Though I still can't believe Sodom didn't play Agent Orange. Still, awesomeness abound.

My last concert, a month and a half ago: Destruction/Candlemass/Deathchain/Perzonal War.

PW: average thrash, Metallica influenced, pretty boring; bad vocalist.
Deathchain: more agressive thrash, some hints of death I thought, sounded quite good.

Candlemass: Marcolin is the best showman I've ever seen! Best interaction with the audience also. Too bad he wasn't in the voice at all, he had a bad cold and could barely speak, let alone sing. They shortened their set because of this... this completely sucked, I hope to catch him again in better form. The rest of the band sounded awesome.

Destruction: Great. Great. Great.

Yeah :D
Looks like things are starting to move here too. Last year we had Moonspell, Rotting Christ, Therion, Megadeth, Paradise Lost, Clawfinger, Pungent Stench, Nightwish, Candlemass, Destruction.

This year will begin with Helloween. Lake of Tears will come in March. In May... none other than King Diamond :D There'll also be an Opera IX/Negura Bunget concert... and probably many others. I've even heard rumours of Judas Priest...

No, not really. They are stronger than ever. But metal is slowly getting more attention.

I just got back from the Zao, Devildriver, Trivium and In Flames concert. Now I know everyone hates trivium and in flames (I'm not a big in flames fan myself) but it was actually a pretty damn good show.

Zao: Meh just ok. Better on recordings.

Devildriver: God damn these guys ruled. The singer kept taunting the audience and managed to get us all doing a massive circle pit. Plus they came out and hung out at the merchendise booth for the rest of the show. Good to their fans.

Trivium: Yeah yeah heafy sucks I've heard it. But I like trivium and I thought they played awesome. Heafy did keep telling the crowd to go buy stuff though. That was annoying.

In Flames: Normally I don't like In Flames. But they sound alot cooler live. Aside from the fact that they played for longer than the other 3 bands combined and made trivium shave 2 songs off their set so they could play their massive 30 song epic performance, they sounded ok.

Dew Scented is death/thrash
and Grave is the swedish death metal band very similar to bolt thrower and dismember..

Edit: Vesania is a symphonic black metal band with the front man that is the bassist of Behemoth

Haha, that's a bit differant to my reaction when I saw this gig coming up-I was like "FUUUCK YEEEAAAAH!" I'm looking out for Into the Grave, You'll never See...., Rise, Open Face Surgery and Phobophile.

I think that you can work out what bands I'm there to see! :D
