me neither.. they try to hard to recapture the original Black Metal artwork while missing the simplicity of it (which, imo, made its quality)... another proof this album is Cronos pathetic attempt to regain a little of his early 80's underground fame and earn a few £.... sad...

Aside from the artwork, the song Antechrist sounds pretty fucking cool! I'm looking forward to this album very much! I predict an album of the month, maybe even a contender for "album of the year!".

This is the best Venom line up to date......Mykvs was great on all the Cronos albums as well as the stuff he did on "Calm Before The Storm" and Antton killed on the drums on Venom's "Resurrection". With that said, and Cronos's description of what we can expect, this should be the album of all Venom albums; an album that will represent what these guys should have released when they first started. It will come very close or exceed the style of the first four records.

So, they're actually making music this time around? It's the rebirth of thrash!

The album which introduced the world to the creators of death metal receives a long-awaited digital overhaul. This edition adds 11 bonus tracks, including their rare early singles and a batch of demos and out-takes.

Quote taken from www.sanctuaryrecords.co.uk website, commenting on Welcome To Hell. Theyr'e just a tad misinformed, hehe. I'm definantly going to the Manchester show, I really am fucking excited to see this happening...If they play Countess Bathory I'll just go nuts. :D

Due to all this furore about their new album, I downloaded "Black Metal" from that album.

It's shit.

Songs I recommend:

Countess Bathory
Warhead
At War With Satan

Are probably the best to start off with, but the best song for me at the moment (exluding Countess Bathory which is an all-timer for me) is Buried Alive. Huge atmosphere, nice bluesy (although technically crap, hehe) solo and just a great all round introduction to the band if you don't appreciate songs like Black Metal.
