I meant punk/hardcore, to name a few scandinavian ones: Anti-Cimex, Mob 47, Totalitär, etc.

Why many claim it to be so good? It's a careless, dirty, dishevelled album that still manages to stay integral and precise. The ideas are harmonically shown irrelative of superficial tendencies and outside any time interrelationship, i.e. for all time.

And I'm sorry if this won't make any sense at all, English isn't my native language and I tried my best to say everything the same way I would've said it in Russian. I'm sorry, if I failed.

I understood you perfectly, thanks. On Scum it starts out great but when it goes crazy, it just sounds bad-if you know what I mean. Not crazy, bad. I'll give this a few moree spins before I pass true verdict, of course.

Great death metal in the vein of Bolt Thrower

Fuck yeah! And I'm seeing them live with Cryptopsy on the 7th of February :cool face: can't wait!

Vio-lence-Eternal Nightmare
96/100 fucking amazing album, thanks for reviewing this, Aaron, or I may never have listened to it!

Petey, if you are seeing that concert i suggest you to listen to Aborted-Goremageddon..
It's like super fast brutal death metal!!

I'll check it out.

NP-Napalm Death-Scum

Haha, I'm not enjoying this at all.

Do you enjoy punk-hardcore? If not then you may never be able to enjoy this one either... Of course, there is an exception to every rule.

Fantômas - Delìrium Cordìa

The Misfits, The Ramones, Bad Brains and a few other punk bands. It's just, there doesn't seem to be anything really trhat good about this-can anyone enlighten me without delving into the argument of 'it was the first grincore album'?

With that album, I was kinda disappointed when I first got it. It's really sloppy, for a start. I think I just kidded myself that it was great because of it's status, y'know? I though I ought to like it.

But now I find myself putting it on just for enjoyment and genuinely liking it. Some of the inadequacy of the playing gives it a really chaotic, edgy feel. When I turn it up and play it straight through, I just try and absorb the sound of it instead of thinking about how the songs are structured and how it fits together. There's a real rage-filled entropy there that's charming. It's like a marsh of fuzzy noise from which the occasional killer riff emerges. (Siege of Power, for example).

Yes. You'll love it. Leave out the 'Fuckin' when looking for it, though.

You'll love the album. Worth looking into!

And there are quite a few 'help me into black metal' threads around. Have a dig...

I kinda like this now, on the nth listen. The production (drums to high, vocals to low rtc.) kinda ruins it, but I'm just lying back and absorbing the chaos, therefore getting into it more. Might pick up the 2nd album, whateverit'scalled-you know the one.

black metal isn't really appropriate listening for doing food shopping, I put on Against the Seasons and it just made me scowl at everyone in the store.. perhaps I'd have killed someone if I'd chosen something heavier.

np: kayo dot blah blah blah
next: Bekhira - l'Elu du Mal! Thanks to EisenFaust!
