Type O Negative - Die With Me

Very relaxing stuff! I'm all mellowed out. :D

me too. NP: Type O Negative - October Rust

I love these guys. I should dip deeper into male-fronted proper goth stuff, I basically know TON and the Sisters of Mercy. kinda lacking.

TON>SOM

I can do better than the Sister of Mercy with hand tied in my back  (or maybe not but they suck anyway)

maybe so, haha. I find them irresistible even so.. and This Corrosion is a special song to me for basically negative reasons. I suppose it's plenty of people's special song come to think of it, it's so seductive..

oh well. Suggest something better, then 8)

Bauhaus maybe, I've always liked their sound and I think Daniel Ash is a great singer... but I'm not sure they can categorize as gothic though they've certainly been influencial to that scene...

possiblemente. I know they're important but I found them rather silly when I tried them last. nothing's stopping me trying them again, of course. apart from about eight gigs of doom mp3s to sample but that's a given, haha

I'm also kinda intrigued with the deathrock and psychobilly V keeps mentioning, I take it that has gothic or at least maudlin elements..

I have a lot to learn

np: Memory Garden - Verdict of Posterity

technical doom makes absolutely no sense but this is pretty cool.

I need to check out that zebulon pike demo, too, STILL. it's meanta be technical doom meets king crimson, which makes me think Kayo Dot or thereabouts.

c'mon internet, don't fail me now.

np: Doomshine - Thy Kingdoom Come

pretty cool epic doom with holycrap stupid lyrics. not exactly Candlemass..

edit: a little better than I thought. The Cross (Still Stands for Pain) is a really, really good song.

four posts in a row! someone's got to fly their doom flag..

np: Orodruin - Claw Tower & Other Tales of Terror

these guys are really good traditional doom metal.. anyone who does a split with Reverend Bizarre is worth investigating.

haha I searched for Orodruin on metalarchives and the first result I got was some black metal dude holding a flail. that was kinda cool.

Well, I'm listening to The Light at the End of the World by My Dying Bride... I know you have issues there.

I agree, I should have stayed in bed. I just can't like Electric Wizard.. :P next I might see if I really like Spirit Caravan or not but preliminary sources say no to that, too.

dead machine's post seems somehow familiar to me.

NP: YOB - The Unreal Never Lived

My period of mourning, which basically has entailed playing my YOB albums constantly, continues.
