You have what looks like a Slipknot 'S' as your avatar.

So, on a scale of one to Metal, I'd say your somewhere around Mallcore. :P

It's actually the Sepultribe logo. How wrong you are. Also, on a scale of one to ten?

In recent years maybe, but Beneath the Remains through to Roots were great

In Roots' defence 1996 was a lame year for metal. It actually seems to have gone down in many people's judgement, finding it too sprawling, mid-paced and nu-metallish.

For a TROO Metalhead,Arise should be the last tolerable Sepultura album!

A TROO Metalhead has never heard of Chaos AD or Roots!

Indeed 96 is a poor year for heavy metal;but we still have :Manowar's Louder than Hell,Motorhead's Overnight Sensation,Overkill's Killing Kind,Nevermore's Politics of Ecstasy,Rage's End of all Days,Helloween's Time of the Oath,Deep Purple's Purpendicular,Angra's Holy Land,Grave Digger's Tunes of War...even Pantera's TGST and TON's October Rust were pretty cool!

1996 =

Edge Of Sanity - Crimson
Ulver - Nattens Madrigal
Cryptopsy - None So Vile
Orphaned Land - El Nora Alila
Dark Funeral - The Secrets Of The Black Arts
Burzum - Filosofem
Hypocrisy - Abducted
Gorgoroth - Antichrist
Satyricon - Nemesis Divina
Marduk - Heaven Shall Burn
Behemoth - Grom
Cradle Of Filth - Vempire
Arch Enemy - Black Earth
Darkthrone - Total Death

A fucking wonderful year if you ask me.

I do like this particular album. It was pretty good at the time. The problem of DF is that they released tons of albums exactly like this one. This album is as good as brutal black metal gets, right up there with Marduk - Heaven Shall Burn.
