Some of this I'm loving, other parts leave me apprehensive.

They have far better songs, but I like the feeling of something fresh and its really a pretty decent song. Im excited to hear the new album.

I liked their first album suprizingly, havent heard the second one, and until I do so I won't listen to this new song.

The first one is way better than the second. I have high hopes for the new album though. They have their original vocalist back. He fits the music perfectly.

I really like the second album. I haven't given the first any serious play time, though.

Onet thing that concerns me about this song is the attempted growls that just don't match up to the ones Jarpen delivered on their earlier stuff. Disappointing that he had to leave.

The second one was still good, but the first one is close to a classic for me. It is damn amazing, but I did have to give it some massive playing time to appreciate it. It wasn't an instant thing.

Edited

This album is ok so far. It took me a while to get into all the other Elvenking albums, so I'll give this bad boy some time before giving my quote.

After about three listens I have to say that this is an awesome album. I'd say 87/100. It doesn't match up to Heathenreel, but it is already in my top five of 06 (I know it’s early, I have to start somewhere though).
March of the Fools has to be one of their best songs ever. There is only one bad track, which happens to be the title track, and about two filler tracks. I am very pleased with this release.

Well I've given this a listen, and on that basis alone, I don't like it as much as Wyrd.

Damnagoras' growls (assuming it is him performing them) just don't match up to Jarpen's, and I swear to God I can hear something dangerously close to emo in a couple of songs. Just a couple of melodies, nothing to obvious, but it is there as far as I'm concerned.

Other than there are some great moments and some less-inspired ones. Now I really need ot give Heathenreal another few spins and see what the fuss is about.

Noooooo!!! This is a catchy catchy album. Give it a few more spins. Pay close attention to tracks 1,2,4,5,

Track 4 is one of the songs I have a problem with. :?

Anyway, this is all on the basis of one spin (as much as one can spin a collection mp3's), when I had my attention on a book, so this no way is this my final word on the matter.
