I wish the anti-Bolt-Thrower people could come up with a better argument then 'all their albums sound the same' or 'they're too slow.' I take it that they don't enjoy AC/DC, Motorhead, or any doom metal bands including Sabbath, then.

I said to try Endorama because he hates Kreator and Endorama doesn't sound like Kreator



My problem is not that all their albums sound the same (I like AC/DC and Motorhead)... My problem is I hate their sound and can't find any good song in the 3 albums I listened too...

Kamelot makes boring music. The Black Halo was so grossly overrated that it caused my left nut to implode 17 times in 4 minutes.

Sonata Arctica are way overrated as well as Dream Theater.

Well I would say Sonata Arctica is not overrated (at least on their first 3 albums) but it doesnt matter, because its a 'flame any band' thread, therefore my claim stands, Kamelot is boring, Roy Khan (I think thats his name) is average at best, Tim Owens sucks and my left nut will never forgive The Black Halo.

Opeth aren't that bad. My biggest 'problem' with Opeth is that they are mediocre yet some people still praise them like they were the seventh wonder of the world... Same goes for Emperor...


A band however that is so inexcusably crappy that they deserve to be mentioned here is Marduk... How the fuck did Heaven shall burn... get a review score of 94% on this very site

Hammerfall are one of the lamest bands I've ever heard. I honestly don't get the whole power metal thing, apart from Dragonforce, who I enjoy. Also any emo band who scream a bit to sound hardcore. Here's a quick list of bands I hate

My Dying Bride and Anathema also suck. It's their fault that traditional doom is so scarce nowadays. everyone wants to hiss mournfully over a violin instead of play metal..

Because I think it's a masterpiece of an album. Best you can get with that style.
