Metal Reviews

I know most of you will think "so what" but metal bands rarely play in South Africa. Even though Metallica have really changed from their Master of Puppets glory days, I would kill to see them. Most ironic of all is that while my brothers will be lapping it up in the mosh pit I will be working in the Congo. Bummer!! :(

Poor chap. I hear it's quite hard to get underground stuff down there.

Its not really hard to get underground stuff here, but we rarely get to see good bands here. So far only Napalm Death, Carcass, The Haunted, Sepultura, Entombed, Konkhra, Soulfly and Mortification played gigs here. Fortunately I got to see most of them. The Haunted was the best, closely followed by Sepultura. Soulfly dissapointed.

My country Malaysia gets shit all compared to you. The only big bands who have performed here in the last 10 years is Napalm Death and Kreator.
