The more I listen to "The Fire And The Flames", the more I like it, but I'm not sure if I could take a whole album of that sort of thing, good for ten minute bursts. So, not all power metal is crap. :D

You heard it here first...and probably last because I am one of 3 people here who has Dragonhammer CD.

I have both their cds, but I dont think they are better. More Italian accented based proggy type power metal. These two bands are completely diff in style and do not even need to be compared.

That was his way of putting Dragonforce down.

No you're not I like them.

And for some stinking reason they delayed the US release and when it will come out is still the million dollar question.

First time I listened to this album, it sexually exhausted me by the sheer weight of those solos.

Second time I listened, I realised that this could be the most life changing album I'd ever heard... this is true.

Now I wake up in the middle of the night humming the chorus to Through The Fire and Flames.

Catchy and addictive album, not sure about the keyboard synths-slightly over done, but certainly this album is better than the first two and could change the life of non-believers everywhere.

However, I'm getting concerned that Through The Fire and Flames is getting too much commercial air play (I've heard it on Radio 1 BEFORE 9 O'clock, and it's constantly on Scuzz here in the UK).

Does this mean this band will become huge and popular so ultimately uncool to like (Like Trivium)?

All I can say is, your fault for listening to Radio 1 before 9pm. And Trivium have always been rubbish.

I know, I feel sleazy that I just openly admitted that I listened to Radio 1 at any time, but it was a lapse as it was on in the background as I cooked my spaghetti bolognaise! What is scary is that bands like Trivium and Bullet for a Valentine have edged the door open for Dragonforce to storm through.

And fear ye all-it gets worse! It is that it's only a matter of time before Dragonforce become the 'Nirvana' of metal and a bunch of pre-teeny kids are wearing DF hoodies.

This will happen-I have foreseen the coming of a new dark age, an age of glorious metal, followed by the imitators, the 'Nickleback' of metal, casting our unique love of all things pure into the chasm of fear and disbelief. I speak of this true as true!!

I agree with you, dude... Only a matter of time before they're part of an NME new bands tour supporting the Arctic Mokeys. *shudder*

I've now begun to hate Dragonforse-I've little emo fuckwankpricks coming up to me and saying they respect me as a metalhead because Dragonforse kick ass. If it was a crowd of those bastards I'm SO GLAD I didn't go to see them live.

I've come to like Dragonforce, but only one song at a time since all their songs sound the same.
