Some low budget mediEVIL death metal sampler from Deaf Records released in 1993 with the most original titel "Deaf Metal Sampler"

Here's the track list:

1. War in paradise 7:42 Vital Remains
2. Cast out the flesh 4:21 Banished
3. Cold winds 4:24 Dissection
4. In the shadows 4:27 Morta Skuld
5. Headstone 5:40 Chorus of Ruin
6. Enormous anthem of the death 8:50 Nightfall
7. Repel your faith 5:28 Impaler
8. The return 5:15 Therion
9. Engulfed in cysts 3:17 Maimed
10. The architects 3:29 At the Gates
11. Method of murder 4:15 Accidental Suicide
12. The view 4:45 Eucharist
13. Landfill 3:49 Pitch Shifter
14. Witches 5:15 Doomed
15. Insanity reigns supreme 3:23 Prophecy of Doom
total time 74:20

I was listening Eucharist's Mirrorworlds yesterday and was thinking where did I hear this before?
Browsing through my CD collection I discovered this long forgotten CD.
Best songs on this mediocre CD are by Dissection, Therion, At the Gates and Eucharist.

Lot of bands on it I never heard from again and probably for a good reason.

Yesterday before I went to sleep I played:

Dimmu Borgir - Death Cult Armageddon: Nice album for listening once every two months, at first it is very good but it grows old very fast. I preffer PEM.

Ulver - Bergtatt: A fuckin' masterpiece.

Nargaroth - Rasluka Pt. II: Excellent EP, the first 3 tracks (although the first is an intro) are amazing and the last one is OK, but very weak compared to the first three.

Amorphis - Tales from the Thousand Lakes

Great music and melodies, but I just hate the clean vocals on this album...

I'm not so sure, you might actually...
The production has a raw edge, but isn't very brutal, and some parts remind me of Ulver's Bergtatt (get that one, you'll most likely like it). The music is very complex, and not there is a strong folk/doom influence, loads of clean vocals, loads of vairation. I'd like the album for merely the pure bomabastic drums. Did I mention it is more progressive than Opeth yet?

Does this work?

Well, 90% of time Pagan Black=NSBM. Skyforger and Bilskirnir go under this category.
I have Bilskirnir's In Flames Of Purification and I love it, but I don't think it's the best NSBM scene has to offer
