TGC would be an OK song if they shortened it and made it better.

And, more importantly, took out the bad riffs, like the opening one. TGC is not only the worst song on the album, but also their worst song ever.

Phyrwolf: I'm not too fond of the death metal parts on Morningrise either, but the atmosphere and the clean parts redeem it 200%. My favourite songs on that album are Advent, Black Rose Immortal and To Bid You Farewell.

If you like Opeth, you can't really go wrong with any album except for Ghost Reveries. And if you like Ghost Reveries...god help you.

Never liked Opeth. The two parts just don't sound well together, especially when they do it. And why does veryone think mikael has a good voice?

I think his growls suck but his clean vocals are ok.

I don't even think that is the problem, I've heard quite a lot of bands combining the two with succes. It's just that Opeth can't write two parts together (here we go again), resulting in antidynamic boringness.

I don't think I've welcomed you by the way, so uhm... Welcome aboard!! You seem to have a develloped taste by the way!
