Many people claim they're sell outs because they got popular. Simple as that. Don't follow that crowd, there's no credibility there. What was so crap about the new song you heard?

It was monotonous as hell, completely devoid of the emotional value and well-crafted melodies that got me into this band in first place. The fact that the "riffs" were heavily nu-metal influenced (at one point Cristina even had the brilliant idea of shouting "ok, now I want to see if Bologna can jump!" and Andrea went like "jump! jump! jump!") didn't make things better. I hope they will scxore another hit, but I'm not placing my bets on this one.

I like the few songs I've heard by them, but was always wary of getting a full album. I'll probably pick up Comalies eventually, but I bet I'll be disappointed.

What was that bollocks about how religion and spirituality can co-exist?

And what's wrong with jumping?

And there it is...the dreaded nu-metal word. Well, a TON of bands do the stupid jump thing, or something similar. That is neither nu-metal, metal, death metal or whatever, it's simply part of live shows.

I've got Comalies, and was impressed with it actually. It's good for when I'm in the Goth Rock kind of mood.

I'll have to check some other albums out; maybe this new one.

If you like Comalies, you can't go wrong with any of their albums. I think In A Reverie is the worst, but it's still good.

I have Unleashed Memories and Comalies, and love them both. They've become pretty popular, and with every band that gets a lot more fans, I have my fears that they might try to go and change their sound and make it worse. I doubt it though, Lacuna Coil is too cool to sell out.

this band has put out soem great stuff in the past. It is a shame that minor deviations from what they have already done could get them labeled as selling out.
I am always kinda sad when a band i like gets more popular. Not that i mind that the common meat headand cheerleader like them, just that it pisses me off hearing them call Lacuna coil evanescence clones (more so than when i hear it here)
I havent bought any of their stuff but I have lsitened to comalies and enjoyed it alot
the prophet said was my favorite song by them, im nto sure what album it was on though. I got it on a promo disk and it consitently found its way onto every play list I made fora little while.

I hope this comes out good. i may finaly buy some of their stuff.

Never said that the song sucked because they did the jump thing; I found it boring as hell. For one, their choruses are usually very effective and immediately stick in my head, while I can barely recall glimses of this one.

OK, so the Underworld: Evolution soundtrack features "Our Truth," a new Lacuna Coil song. Verdict after about 5 or 6 listens: Not too shabby at all, quite fucking good, in fact.

Because I was looking for it, I did sense a little nu-metal riffage in there, but the more I thought about, Lacuna Coil have never been very metal with their riffs, they've always focused on a big solid riff, and this song follows that trend. With that said, one of the main riffs is still a bit more...American, I guess, which means many of you here will write it off immediately. It features mostly Christina's vocals, but the chorus of the song reminds me more of Stream Of Passion than Lacuna Coil.

Overall I think it's an excellent song and this song isn't much of a departure from anything on Comalies, or anything else they've ever done. I'm more inclined to say it's just typical Lacuna Coil.

Hmmm...it's hard to disagree, they're not the most interesting of bands. Some songs are def. better than others.

LACUNA COIL's new single, "Our Truth", which appears on the "Underworld: Evolution" soundtrack, can be previewed in full at AOL Music (select "Underworld" from the list of choices at the top and scroll down to LACUNA COIL). The soundtrack, which being released today (January 10), features additional selections from PUSCIFER (Maynard Keenan's [TOOL, A PERFECT CIRCLE] new project), Chester Bennington (LINKIN PARK), SLIPKNOT, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, ATREYU, and more. A video for "Our Truth" was shot in Los Angeles by Fort Awesome, a brand-new directorial duo, whose individual directing credits include QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, LINKIN PARK, DISTURBED, CHEVELLE, ATREYU, SHADOWS FALL, and more.

"Our Truth" comes off LACUNA COIL's upcoming full-length effort, "Karmacode", which is scheduled for release on April 4 via Century Media Records. The highly anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed commercial breakthrough album, "Comalies", was produced by Waldemar Sorychta and LACUNA COIL in Germany and Italy while the album was both mixed by Ronald Prent (RAMMSTEIN, H.I.M., IRON MAIDEN) and mastered by Darcy Proper (STEELY DAN, PORCUPINE TREE, R.E.M.) at Galaxy Studios in Belgium. Asterik Studio (TRAPT, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, THE USED), the Grammy-nominated design firm, is handling the package design for "Karmacode".

LACUNA COIL will be teaming up with ROB ZOMBIE for a North American tour beginning in March.
