Probably..., so do Jorn, King Diamond, Blackie, etc.

Virgin Steele wears paint too, but no corpse paint:

The japan release is the only available right now.
http://www.cdinzane.com has it in stock. I think the Euro release is Feb 14th and will be much cheaper depending on how much patience you might have.

Good site for Euro and Japan releases distributed to us here in the states :)

They specialize in true/power/prog i believe. Tho i did notice they carried the In Flames come Clarity pre-order, but of course they do sell.

Hmmm...$14.95 ain't much at all. I think I'll wait, I guess.

its just as I expected, some really generic lead, and then the double bass comes steam rolling in. There is nothing unique about this band, and regardless of how well they play the style they arent going to make a name for themselves because the genre is already over-saturated. Why can't anyone have an original idea....or at least go back to a style that hasnt been played in a while. Either way I'm not suprized.

I just downloaded this last night, it's damn good! Maybe I'm not in the mood this morning, but after hearing the clips I expected it to be better. I don't know, not a lot of variety, just all out, fast power metal. Still very solid, though.

I listened to some of the soundbytes at melodicrock and I really like it.

I felt the same way when getting it in the mail a few weeks back. Solid album, but not as spectacular as i had wished. I think he songs dont have a lot of diff moments to them. Verse/chorus/verse with no extras or umph!!
It is still good power metal with excellent vox

Hurry Blind Guardian we need something special for power metal :)

Yeah, that comment stands. Very good power metal, but nothing mind-blowing. I'd say it's a bit better than most, but nothing that'll make you sticky your underpants.

Great album! However it gets a bit boring in the middle. I wish Maiden played like that on Dance Of Death. Bloodbound sounds more maiden, than Maiden itself  The title track "Nosferatu" is this years' favourite for the best song! Kills!!!

Songs like Fallen From Grace really rock my socks. Yeah, I'm all for the cheesy sing-alongs.

I use DC (Direct Connect) for downloading. Very good for metal

As for Bloodbound, i just downloaded their mp3's from their website

Behind the Moon: Great opening song. Did hear a Maiden feel.

Into the Dark: Need to hear the whole song, from what i heard i give it a Meh

Nosferatu: Great thundering riff, catchy and very good

Metal Monster: Not bad, not bad

Crucified: A little weak, need to hear more

Desdemonamelia: Pretty good, nice riff, catchy

Fallen From Grace: Not sure with that one, need to hear more

Screams in the Night: Good song

For the King: Catchy, not bad

Midnight Sun: Weakish track

On The Battlefield: Nice galloping riff, need to hear more

Overall, like someone else said, its definatelly not original. I can hear simalarities of about 10 other bands in their sound and they follow the typical structure of most melodic power metal bands. Might download the whole songs and give it a good listen.

I did like what i heard and it has peaked my interest

A new album is about to be released. It's called Book of the Devil.

Asian/Brazilian cover:

US cover:

:lame:

Here's more on it:

Quote:
BLOODBOUND, the Swedish/German metal band featuring Fredrik Bergh (STREET TALK; bass, keyboards and backing vocals), Tomas Olsson (lead and rhythm guitars) and Michael Bormann (JADED HEART, BONFIRE, J.R. BLACKMORE, RAIN; vocals), has announced that its new album, "Book of the Dead", will have two different covers: one for Asia and Brazil (cover) and one for Europe (cover). In addition, the Asian release will contain a bonus track while the European version will feature a bonus video and come as a limited-edition digipack.

Due in May via Metal Heaven in Europe and Marquee/Avalon in Japan, "Book of the Dead" will contain the following track listing:

01. Sign of the Devil
02. The Tempter
03. Book of the Dead
04. Bless the Unholy
05. Lord of Battle
06. Flames of Purgatory
07. Into Eternity
08. Black Heart
09. Black Shadows
10. Turn to Stone
11. Seven Angels
12. Rivers of Pain (Japanese Bonus)
13. Bonus Video (Europe bonus)

Audio samples from the album can be found at this location.

BLOODBOUND last fall parted ways with with singer Kristian Andrén (MEMENTO MORI, WUTHERING HEIGHTS, TAD MOROSE) after only a few weeks of working together. The band also named Tomas' younger brother Henrik Olsson the group's new rhythm guitar player.

BLOODBOUND's debut album, "Nosferatu", was released in Europe in February 2006 via Metal Heaven. The CD was recorded and produced by Tomas Olsson and Fredrik Bergh.

Amazingly the new stuff seems to be just in the vein of the debut. The new singer is very good too, sounding very much like Urban Breed.
