So what are your thoughts on this one? Imo, it's worse than A Momentary Lapse of Reason (with this one being worse than other PF stuff). But although it's not the PF everyone loved and I personally really hate the female back vocals, it's more a Hit than a Miss for me. The songs indeed aren't very Pink Floydish (Roger Waters, anyone?), but that doesn't stop me from liking them (but the video clip for High Hopes is still up to Waters standards, i.e. awesome).

miss

PF died twice :
1-when Barrett left
2-when Roger Waters left...

1 was the best era
2 was still pretty good
after that it's seriously boring stadium pseudo-psyche pop rock.. not exactly something I enjoy...

“High Hopes” is one of my all time favorite Pink Floyd songs. “Take it Back” and “Coming Back to Life” are good, but the rest is just decent. Not bad enough to constitute a miss though. Hitttttt.

Miss. It lacks a feel of creative urgency and the songs are par or subpar.

Not a big PF fan, but I own this and don't think I've ever got the whole way through. :?

Hit. Love this album. It's a different Pink Floyd so it needs to be taken in a different light. Still, a pretty fine album.

Hit but it couldn't compare to The Wall and Darkside Of The Moon.

Well, I think you're generally right (although I don't like it as much as you do). But besides those annoying female vocals there's another thing that somehow ruins this album for me: the lyrics. They just can't compare to the ones Waters wrote.
