It's just that the number of forums is getting on the large side. This site doesn't get enough posts to justify it. Way to much clicking. I would eliminate the Alternative section and lump it into this one.

Maybe the rock section too

There is going to come a time when you're going to have to pay attention. This is not a forum to discuss specific bands or genres. How many times does it have to be said?

I think, if anything, the Rock forum could be added to the Heavy/Power forum as the styles aren't too drastically different. I like the Alternative/Whatever Else forum because that's where we can discuss things like jazz bands, nu-metal, folk, avant-garde, whatever, shit...even rap! That forum should stay.

You still haven't answered my points. The Alternative forum is for "everything else", it says so! By making that the "music" forum, you bypass the problem of too many threads, which that suffers from already. Too many forums will just lead to them being underused.

And by making threads such as these, this is how you get things changed, Craig, Kayla et al. It's all very well being all cool and "I don't care", but in the end of the day you come here, so you should express your opinion if you've got one.

I don't have to answer your points because your points are misinterpreted points, thus completely irrelevant. The past few days here you've been complaining about a bunch of shit, you get an explanation and when it's not what YOU want to hear you ignore it. The incident with Aaron for example. I could tell you were about to go on a crusade against the system, so to sort of cut you off at the pass, I sent you a PM simply telling you there was more to it than you or I—or anyone else on the board—knows, yet after that you still wrote a reply about you disagreeing with it!! Then you thanked me for the PM. WTF? Seriously, dude. If you got the PM you shouldn't have replied again. Then when Aaron replied and said "The problem was the way I acted, not the actions I undertook." you simply ignored it. Hence what I've bolded above.

As for your thread "getting things changed," why is it that every idea that you come up with should be adhered to? This forum is a GOOD idea! Since you didn't listen the last 57 times I've said it I will say it one last time in bold caps, please pay attention:

Are you hearing that? I don't know why this is hard to understand. It's an EXTREMELY simple concept. Yes, the Rock and Alternative forums are not used as much as the others, but they are used! This is not like those forums, this is just like the Hellheim forum but for music-related topics that don't belong in the other forums. Understand?

Dude, this isn't my forum. Please don't say shit like that. Yes, I'm a reviewer here now, they made me a mod as well, but I come here because I love this board, and I love to discuss music. You do have a say, everyone does, but just because you say something doesn't mean that it needs to be adhered to. You've suggested many things that were taken into consideration and a few of them were implemented. You're not going to get everything you want here. But again, this is not MY forum. I may be a mod, but I'm still an active member here and I'd expect to be considered no different from everyone else.

As for the thread about Aaron, I know you disagree, but you didn't need to say it AGAIN after I sent you that PM. It's a situation that needs to be forgotten, that's why I did that, but we're now dragging it through the mud and I don't feel comfortable doing that. So I won't speak of it anymore.

I'm sorry that people aren't listening to your music suggestions, that doesn't mean a forum should be removed. Go search for all the NEW MUSIC DOWNLOADS threads I've started that have ZERO responses. Sure, it sucks that no one replies, but who cares?

Yes, a very silly situation. Some people won't like this forum, but in time I think it will come around. I wish the Rock forum was more active, I wish the Alternative forum was more active, but this is a metal site first and foremost, not many people are going to like Rock and Alternative.

also, in general music you can post stuff like, "Genres: what are they good for?" or just label release schedules or whatever. as far as I can tell. those would suck in a more specific forum
