Uruk-Hai - In The Side Of Eternal Eclipse EP

The EP lasts only 13 minutes, but I'm already in love with it...

THIS IS FUCKING WAR!!!!

I only have blast from the ancient past, and i don't like it, is that one different?

If you'd ask me, I'd say it not really something to bang your head to. I don't relaly like the riffs, there are no killer melodies either, it seems a little monotonous to me :(

Ok, I think you're speaking about Norway's Uruk-Hai. Well that's not the one. This one is from Spain, meant to be a side-project of Nazgul members (Defernos & Thorgul), it released only 1 EP (the one I'm listening to) & 1 Split with Isenheim (good one, but there are only 2 songs, per 1 from each band).

And yes, it FUCKING KILLS!!!

Awesome acoustic intro, followed by 12 minutes of pure black. It all ends with a great acoustic outro. The contrasts between the beginning+ending and the rest of the EP do their job

No killer melodies??? From the moment I heard the intro, I knew I would adore it. I wasn't wrong. Reminds me early Marduk, Gorgoroth and Mayhem.

Well, we've got different tastes that's for sure

it's been a while I wanted to say this... what is the use of the "now playing" threads, since no one comments on the albums he's listening to it's becoming so very boring...

so, why don't we always add the "now playing" to the posts on other threads, this way we can avoid long boring "now playing" threads like this one

np the new Masterplan

actually, people do reply to eachothers current plays, look at the posts befor yours. if you would put that under every post anywhere else, it would become one big mess when people would reply to eachothers plays...

Well i'm currently lilstening to Close to the Edge by Yes....topped off with a little Heathen Breaking the Silence. I would play them both at the same time and create a super album but thats just wishful thinking. i can play two manowar songs at the same time however and produce twice the Glory! HAIL AND KILL!!

hurusoma - war

ok, the production is soo high end, the double bass just sounds as plain treble, and the highhits sound as swordklangs. they are used a lot, so the overall sounds like a swordmasterypractiseground or a fucking mass forgery! this is even worse belketre on the split with vlad tepes (and that was bad). Still the music it worth the tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut that will remain in my ears for the next three days...

glad to hear it. i actually prefer the treble driven reverb laden sounds of gritty production.

Eucharist - Mirrorworlds

Last album of these Swedes, released in 1997 in the same year as In Flames' Whoracle. IMO a melodic death metal masterpiece (or should I say melodeath?)
