I think this is stupid. I've been to forums where the moderators were much more tyrannical than Aaron (hell, I never thought he was OTT, despite any jokes I made), and people there accepted it. What this comes down to is a split in the forum, between the PM and BM people and this little conflict reflected that. According to the rules, Aaron was right, and really, no-one should expect to be treated politely online. Still, what's done is done. I can't help but think, though, that Metal Reviews isn't the place it once was.

I think you're overanalyzing things. Especially considering you just—in another thread—asked for moderation. Unfortunately DM was a mod that got modded.

Remember when I just said in that other thread that when moderators start moderating, people start flipping out and calling the mods "Nazis" and whatnot?

"I can't help but think, though, that Metal Reviews isn't the place it once was."

You just proved my point.

Leave your PC's now, give your girlfriend/boyfriend/mom/son/daughter/dog a kiss, put on some AC/DC very loud, jump around the room and bang your head and....

get a f#$king life!!!

Didn't get the message? Read my sig.

P.S.: This thread was kinda entertaining, keep'm coming

Not because of the moderating! Because of the people that get away with stuff that on any other board would get them hunted down and executed like a sick dog. Winter dragged this place for ages, he should have been banned a long time ago. Aaron did his job, and did it well IMO. I'm not calling anyone a Nazi.

Thanks for the PM, by the way.

Yes, there doesn't need to be multiple posts on Clint's site, with that said I don't believe the posts are common enough to make a big deal over. Aaron was within his rights to do what he did, but I don't think that was the problem here.

The problem was the way I acted, not the actions I undertook.
