The title track fucking rules! Especially the video

Now playing: Rennaisance (spelling?) - Galaxy, from the metalreviews sound section. Great song, by far the best demo song I have ever heard (although I haven't heard many...). If these guys has split up ut's a tragedy becaus they could really be something.

Yeah, the title track has a nice slithery crawl to it :) My girlfriend hates it soooo much though! She's Christian you see, and the opening line "I'd sign a contract with the devil" didn't go over to well.

I also really like that song and the video is really good, but I didn't get the cd yet.

Yeah, I also know that he can sound like a girl better than most girls I know  (Listen to Angra's cover of Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights" if you don't believe me..)

By the way, congratulations to the metal lord title :P Nice to see a non-black metalhead get the title :P Hails!

I know Wuthering Heights by Angra... imo, it's the best song of their 1rst lp & an outstanding cover !

This is a great album. I really like the black metal elements used in this.

The new Grave Digger is a bit different from the past two albums. It's still a good album, but I'm going to need a few more listens to absorb it and give a solid opinion. The balance of the album has shifted more toward the mid tempo range (Soul Saviour, The Night Before, and Divided Cross for instance almost have a hard rock feel to them), although there are still a handful of speedy tracks as well. The one thing I have noticed is that the riffs don't have as much "bite" as the past. Aside from the fact that that we have more mid tempo songs on this album, the riffing in general just seems to lack punch throughout the album.

On the other hand, Chris' vocals sound great on this album. He has really come a long way over the last few years. During his early years (and even into the 90's), I felt that his delivery was somewhat unrestrained. Ever since The Grave Digger, I think Chris has really learned how to effectively use his voice. The songs are catchy, and I can't find any faults with the muscianship or production. Of course, Chris' vocal style gives the songs an agressive feel, despite the reduction in musical power.

Honestly, I prefer the more speedy, thunderous riff side of the band on tracks such as Pendragon and The Grave Digger. Still, the songs here are of a very good quality. There isn't any filler material, although nothing really made me jump out of my chair in amazement, either. I'd best classify this as a collection of good Grave Digger songs that showcase more of the melodic, mid tempo side of the band.

Hmm I don't hear the folk part, I'd call it powermetal without the g-ay part...
