Ok, I've heard this. The stupid interruptions are kinda killing it ( the guy tells you what the song is and says "buy it when it comes out biatch") so I haven't made an opinon so far and it's only my first listen. Sounds pretty good though I'm kinda feeling a little dissapointed. Might grow on me as every Katatonia album did so far.

Anyway, anyone else heard it? Whaddaya guys think?

Yep, I think it's awesome! Personally I think it's better than Viva and Last Fair Deal. Musically it's a mix between those two, somewhere in between those styles. Great album! The interruptions don't bother me, there are only two per song, not a big deal. Great album once again by these guys.

I agree. It's just in the middle of those two and not entirely different than any of them. Like I said it's growing and growing. It's rare that I listen to an album 3 times in a row right after download.
Though I still need a few more to have an exact opinion.

That's what you get for downloading! :D

I'm gonna wait 'till it comes out. I, personally, can't wait. From what I've heard of "My Twin," it's an excellent song.

I can wait. I'm patient when it comes to things like this. :)

Not me. If I can get it, I will. I can't stand to have just MP3s, though. I always have to buy the actual CD. That'll change if my house ever burns down, though. I'd never start collecting again.

Same as LOTN. Viva Emptiness is one of my all time fav albums so you can imagine how excited I am, but I can and will wait. I want to open the cellophane and put the CD inside my player, lay back, smell the booklet and then just kick back and get my mind blown away.

I listened to the first two songs before being pissed off by the voiceovers. It seemed a lot more guitar driven than any other Katatonia.

Dammit, you made me want to buy something.

One of the reasons I wait is because of the experience that deathkvlt has just described. If you download something, you can't really replicate that experience, since you already know what's coming. It's much more rewarding to hear it for the first time with the booklet, looking at all the cool artwork, and having the satisfaction of adding another CD to your already extensive collection.

Well, unless it's a bad CD, but that never happens to me. I make DAMN sure that the CD is good, first. :P

I never, never, NEVER listen to a CD the first few times while reading the lyrics! Being a writer I'm so cynical of other peoples' words so if the lyrics are juvenile, or just not written well—like with a lot of bands from non-English speaking countries—it just seriously brings down the enjoyment level. A CD can be a masterpiece musically, but if I'm reading along and don't like the lyrics it seriously fucks up my perception of the music.

So I always get to know so music first and not the lyrics, if I later find that I'm not a fan of the lyrics (whole or partial) then it doesn't bug me. It may be weird, but that's me. Hehehe.

I don't like reading the lyrics first time listening because they make me focus on the vocals rather than the music as a whole

:D Yay! I thought I was the only weirdo who smelled the book! I love the new CD smell. If they made an air freshener in that scent, I'd ejaculate. My friend caught me doing it one time, and still makes fun of me for it! I too, will patiently wait for this one. Viva dissaponted me, but I love Katatonia way too much to write them off just yet.
