Good perverse black metal. Definately not for new ones to this genre.

Though for some reason, i never liked them...

People have different tastes, and you cant argue about matters of taste.

From what I have heard from them, I think their best release is I-20.

Some people have not heard as much music as others, and therefore have a basis for their taste that could be argued against.

What the fuck? Dead Can Dance. Well, thats cool, everybody has their own private pleasures.

DCD is a great band and a big influence of all the athmospheric/gothic scene... add metal to those genres and they'll remain a huge influence... in fact, this album should be reviewed in the "classics" section !
GOOD CHOICE ! ENJOY !

The best Black Metal band of Norway nowadays; you won't be dissapointed, both are truly some of the best albums I've ever heard, Black Metal masterpieces without a doubt.

you BM-Heads are killing me... how do you get to know so obscure bands ? it amazes me how many bands you say kick ass & I've never hear of before

I'm sure in 10 years from now most of them will still be anonymous but I might be wrong...

one quick question : anyone think the BM bands scene is far too crowded to offer a majority of decent records ?

now playing : Wintersun

Those are awesome albums, as I expected.

One question: Gast, what is the thing you didn't like on Over Bjoergvin...?

I have the same problem with our Black Metal fans on this forum. Nice people, but it seems they're holding a contest showing off how many different obscure black metal bands they're able to mention.
What indeed strikes me most are the repeating comments about the greatness of each record. To me it seems hardly possible that there are so many black metal bands making quality metal.

I can say without a doubt that Black Metal is the most prolific genre in the world nowadays. In the past, the only amazing Black Metal hailed from the bands of Norway, and a few other Scandinavian bands, but now a days there are so many scenes doing their own stuff (NSBM (Eastern Europe), France, Germany, USA, South America, Norway, Finland) that it's amazing the amount of Black Metal available; of course the scene is crowded with loads of mediocre bands and Darkthrone clones, but it is also filled with brave new proposals which keep pushing the envelope.

People who hate Black Metal are really passing out on something amazing.....

Bottomline is that if you like Black Metal you'll never find yourself without something to listen, actually most of the time you'll find yourself begging for more than 24 hours so that you can listen to all the amazing stuff out there. Plus Black Metal is rich in history, traditions, pride and it has the most amazing undeground worldwide community; and if that isn't enough, then just remember that it's the best music in the world.

Now playing:

Negurã Bunget - 'n Crugu Bradului

Amazing Black Metal from Romania, some of the most original and amazing I've recently heard. Really something special.

Then I hope I will not get infected with this Black Metal fever.
It would cost me a lot of money and my wife would kill me for playing it.
