Hey I was wondering if anyone was up for suggesting me some technical/avantguarde metal? I'm completely obsessed with bands like Behold the Arctopus, Necrophagist, etc. right now and that genre is one of the hardest to find anything new or good in.

The vocals are kind of "burping-like" but once you get past that they are really great!

I'm having trouble writing this cause I just listened to some Gorguts and Quo Vadis and my head burst all over my keyboard in an explosion of pure awesomeness.

Mithras and Atheist are awesome.

Checking out the Deimilich now, it's pretty good, and the vocals are kinda goregrindy, so not a problem here.

Hmmm. I would not include DeP and Meshuggah to the list.

Meshuggah yes, DEP no. Spazzcore isn't tech-metal.

Man I just walk about nowadays with Demilich's Nespithe on repeat on my iRiver... This band and Corpsing have combined to put my black metal exploration spiritual voyage on hold in favour of some nice brutal tech-death

Lovely... But I still don't own any Gorguts. I really suck

Yes you do! When you listened to either Obscura or From Wisdom To Hate come back and tell me what you think about them! :D

Edit: I would also like to highlight Lykathea Aflame. Technical Melodic Brutal Death, really awesome stuff. Here is a sample!

Did you buy the CD or find a recording somewhere online? Because I've been trying to track some down and haven't had any luck yet.
