I finally got a maiden album! It was about time. I grabbed Piece of Mind and it's simply great. So far my favorite off the CD is revelations, i've always had a soft spot for well crafted ballads.

My next maiden purchase will most likely be Number of The Beast or seventh son.

Thanks for all who helped me out.

It would have to be the one and only!!!
SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON

This is because I believe this album was when they had all the members at their very best and there is not one bad track on that album!!!!

Worst advice one could give. The X-factor is just a fraction of what Iron Maiden was in the past.
Probably their worst album.

Dance of Death is better than the X-Factor. Why not reccomend Vitual 11 while your at it.

X Factor is the best Maiden album since Seventh Son(of course it's just my opinion).

Dance of Death is the very worst album Maiden ever made;therefore Virtual XI is,of course, way better(again,it's just my opinion...but Trooper of Steel may agree)!

 Umm, okay. You're certainly entitled to feel that way. But I don't think the Blaze era would be a good starting point for someone unfamiliar with Maiden. The X-Factor is pretty good, it's just not a place I would tell someone to climb aboard with.

I think Virtual XI did irrepairable damage to me liking Iron Maiden. After that I think I avoided listening to their albums most of the time, kinda sad really.

I liked DOD. Good songs, even if they are a bit same-y.

as bad or Mediocre as the later Iron Maiden albums are, no one can deny the majesty of the first 7 Iron Maiden albums. That string of consistency is unparalelled in the Metal world.
