Kiske best vocalist ever? ...Cristi Minculescu from Iris kicks his ass anytime ...with style!

well cristi minculescu is one of my favourite Romanian singer (well, IRIS is surely my favourite Romanian rock/metal band), but he's not that good... (surley has some serious health issues!!)...I don't like the fact that his falsetto voice is not "connected" to his normal singing voice (IF ANYONE understands what I mean). he surely can hiy some high notes, but you can hear/feel the transition. that is an issue I have with many good, technical vocslist (see halford). I like the vocals connected (sing->scream(falsetto))...that is what i love about Kiske..and Luppi. If you've seen him live you've surely noticed this fact...
On another not...HANSI KURSCH.... so bad....I've said this before...watch the live DVD.... he cannot touch the old songs (where he was screaming full force ahead)...nowadays he employs his normal voice (warm, I like it) but his high range is nothing but headvoice, which I don't like at all!
BTW add to my list: MATTHIAS BLAD - so much emotion, warmth and Roy Khan - same as Blad, but with a touch of Tate

BTW... HAIDE POLI!!!

The Vocalist from Wildfire is awesome as well. Paul Mario Day, his vocal lines are excellent especially on Summer Lightning. And Afeigel I apologize for not putting the link up yet. I've been having problems with my computer so I had to back up all my files and reformat the damn thing.

Well he is great in Wildfire, but i think is the worst of the three Pauls that have been in Maiden.

Well,i lived in Calea Girocului until 91(the golden age of metal in Romania, back when you had Obituary,Testament and Kreator graffittis all over the buildings in Timishoara),when i moved to Paris;but i'm still proud to be a Girocker!!!!!

Where do you live?in Torontal,Soarelui,Shagului,Fabric or whatever?

Well what a coincidence... I also grew up and lived in Calea Girocului, well, basically, all my life. I only moved 2 years ago (had enough of living with my parents :) ) and now i stay on Take Ionescu street (stiil Timishoara :) )... Well, I'm happy to have a fellow Giroc guy on this forum... see ya stub....or better, read ya! :)

P.S. True, true, back then even Holograf was a band you could truly enjoy...nowadays (don't know if you follwed their "career") they are a shitty TV band playing ballads to win over some 50+, Telenovelas watching women as a public....

I was listening to Nikolo Kotzev's Nostradamus some days ago, and it struck me how good Göran Edman really is. He's amazing on "Desecration" and "The Eagle", and for those of you who like Jorn Lande, listen to "Inquisitor's Rage", he's bloody raw!
