Yeah, hellcome to the boards! :D

I still believe that by creating this myth around their circle these fellows had one of the greatest marketing ideas of the century. Seriously, would anyone care so much about their stuff if it wasn't for the "legend"?

Exactly. Vlad Tepes and Mutiilation are great but they're the only good ones from LLN. I've heard about 15 bands that are considered LLN but all of the were crap. Even the famous 4-5 of them are bad except VT and M.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I'm not saying that everything except the biggest bands is pure shit, but I highly doubt someone would praise, say, Torgeist to such an extent if it wasn't for their background. I dig their stuff, but it's generic low-fi BM, nothing that I haven't heard before, and done better.

Maybe it's just me, but I rather like Belketre's half of the March to the Black Holocaust split. It's raw and raging, and has good riffs. The atmosphere is decent as well.

hmm.. yeah.. maybe
.. and how good is the tracks: If we had, Hate and Despair!?!? pure crap... of course the rest of the song have some smaller details that i enjoy, and some of them has some good riffs as you say :) ... but i don't enjoy most of it, especielly because of the above mentioned three songs, that ruins their part of the split...

They invented a skip button so you can skip bad songs. You should try it out.

But yeah, I'm not defending Hate or Despair, or If We Had... Those songs are crap.

:x no!... i'll never skip - never!!! it's modern technology, and i hate modern technology! When my third reich arise from the depths of hell, i'll make a modern technology holocaust, leaving only vinyls and tapes alive...

i'm always looking at albums/split parts as one track... and if there's 3 crappy tracks out of 7, that really does ruin the rythme, Chi, kharma or what ever you may call it  it's not a compilation of good songs to choose from but a piece of art that should be enjoyed from the beginning to the end... hopefully... not that there's is all that many albums that i enjoy that way, he he, perhaps 5-10 or so... i'm easily bored.

oh yeah.. i'm overtired :? sry about that, goodnight

An album is a painting, the quality defined by ALL songs. You can't just ignore half of a painting because it sucks, and look at the rest.

But the Bekhira side just sucks as a whole, get your facts straight! ;)

Easy: the n3kr0tr00 scenesters who move on to other bands when their favorite gets discovered by more than 10 people including themselves. :P

That's why mp3s are so useful. I have the mp3s of the songs I like from that split, and have deleted the ones I dislike.

And yes, I can ignore half of a painting and look at the rest. It's what I do with a lot of paintings. Albums can be compared to huge paintings like Hieronymous Bosch's Garden of Delights- there are parts of that painting I really like, and I ignore the rest because of them.

It's uncanny that you mention that painting DM, because just the other day I was thinking to myself that it is my personal favorite. I understand what you mean too, a painting that huge and complex has to have some parts that aren't so great. But I forget about it and take in the whole.
