Welcome, indeed. I subscribe to afeigel's opinion: finally we will get constant doom reviews. Hails!

Cool... I have merely scratched the surface of the doom genre so I'm looking forward to some doom reviews to aid me in my exploration...

Thanks. If there's a specific doom CD you'd like me to take a look at , do PM me.

(is taking Uuuh... as a vote of confidence)

Congrats. I don't know much about doom; it'll be nice to see more reviews.

And I would suggest to make Dee the moderator of the doom forum. He knows doom better than any of us so I think it's logical. Of course if he himself agrees too. Again that's just my opinion.

it's flattering, and I wouldn't oppose anyone if they wanted me in that position, but I have to say I'm still exploring the genre myself, and not quite ready to be considered an expert yet..

Congrats, Lizard, welcome!

So what may we expect from you as a reviewer?

For instance, what are your favourite top 10 metal albums of all time, apart from King Crimson - Lark's Tongues in Aspic?

And what are your favourite bands of all time?

in regards to what you can expect, reviews of all kinds of doom, some suicidal black metal and maybe some forays into avant-garde, progressive stuff. and two reviews a week!

as for my top ten favourite metal albums..

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus
Ulver - Bergtatt
Burzum - Filosofem
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Sleep - Dopesmoker
Esoteric - Metamorphogenesis
Death - Human
Meshuggah - Chaosphere
Godflesh - Streetcleaner

those are pretty monumental albums anyway, I know they're hardly obscure, haha.

my favourite bands include but are not limited to the artists responsible for the albums above, then King Crimson, Fantomas, Gentle Giant, Super Furry Animals, Bjork, Reverend Bizarre, Boris, Judas Priest, Melvins, Xasthur, and many more..
