It's getting to be about that time where we can discuss this and generally know what will be on our Best Of lists without much change. Here is mine (in no particular order, but alphabetical), I don't forsee it changing:

Metal (Power, Thrash, Death, Prog, Etc.):

01. Battlelore – Third Age Of The Sun
02. Brainstorm – Liquid Monster
03. Dark Tranquillity - Character
04. Demons & Wizards – Touched By The Crimson King
05. Helloween – Keeper Of The Seven Keys: Legacy
06. Kamelot – The Black Halo
07. Lana Lane – Lady Macbeth
08. Nevermore – The Godless Endeavor
09. Redemption – The Fullness Of Time
10. Zero Hour – A Fragile Mind

Other (Rock, Alternative, Nu-Metal, Etc.):

01. 311 – Don’t Tread On Me
02. Ani Difranco – Knuckledown
03. Charlotte Martin – Darkest Hour (EP)
04. Clutch – Robot Hive/Exodus
05. Madball – Legacy
06. Pro-Pain – Prophets Of Doom
07. System Of A Down – Hypnotize
08. System Of A Down – Mezmerize
09. The Coral – The Invisible Invasion
10. Therapy? - Never Apologise, Never Explain

1 Strapping Young Lad - Alien
2 Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
3 Kamelot - The Black Halo
4 Pelican - The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw
5 Zero Hour - A Fragile Mind
6 Biomechanical - The Empires of the Worlds
7 Arsis - A Diamond for Disease
8 Gojira - From Mars to Sirius
9 Dark Tranquillity - Character
10 Redemption - The Fullness of Time

an album that I just got that might creep its way into one of those lower spots is The Mass's new album ("Perfect Picture of Wisdom and Boldness")

I see that you have good taste! :D I really wanted to included the new SYL and Biomechanical, but after a lot of thought I realized that I haven't listened to them as much. Great albums though, they'd be somewhere in the 11–15 range, though.

Darkane - Layers of Lies
Bloodbath - Nightmares Made Flesh
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
Cryptopsy - Once Was Not
Arch Enemy - Doomsday Machine
Candlemass - Candlemass
Dragonlord - Black Wings of Destiny

Though the year's not over yet, so who knows?

It's excellent. I'm not sure if I like it better than Sword's Song yet, though, but it's still and excellent album! Definitely worth getting, I'd suggest the Digipack with the bonus tracks as they're very good.

Here's some samples from the album, and another great video:

Battlelore – Storm Of The Blades (Full Video)
Battlelore – Trollshaws (Clip)
Battlelore – Ghan Of The Woods (Clip)
Battlelore – Elassar’s Call (Bonus Track Clip)

Here's a video from their first album, it's fucking brilliant! If you've not seen it you should check it out.

Battlelore – Journey To Undying Lands (Full Video – A Must See!!)

Blood Red Throne - ALTERED GENESIS

Crap!! How the hell did I forget this one. This is definitely on my top ten. This album should be number eight or so and will knock Kamelot down to 11th. It still feels like I'm forgeting something else.

Edit: The new Gamma Ray. I knew I forgot something.

1: Sigh - Gallows Gallery
2: Ulver - Blood Inside
3: The Crimea - Tragedy Rocks

The three albums from this year I've bought. Samael doesn't count, as it's a rerelease.

How many fucking more "Top Ten Of The Year" lists are we going to get?
