Actually,i saw yesterday in a small record store near Nation some albums (Foxtrot,Fragile,Close to the Edge, and Uriah Heep's Salisbury) which tempted me a bit,but i've hesitated(instead,i've bought the last Obituary):maybe i'll get them next time;i hope they're classics too...

these are all good albums... I wouldn't consider Uriah Heep to be a progressive band though... more like a clever Deep Purple clone, but I like them anyway except Salisbury is not their best album... I have to say the tilte track (with a horns ensemble) kicks ass though !

Savatage - Silk And Steel (Criss Oliva was amazing)
Rush - La Villa Strangiato
Blind Guardian - By The Gates of Moria and Beyond The Ice
Virgin Steele - Marriage of Heaven And Hell
Nightwish - Moooooodance!
Stratovarious - Stratofortress

Thats about all that have stuck with me enough to be remembered.

EDIT: I misspelled Moondance, the N is absent, but Moodance was a good song to, just the way Tarja manipulated her voice to sound like an operatic cow. Classic.

Wildfire is good, they have a lot of really rocking harmonized vocals, and the songs trade on and off between the more rocking stuff and you're heavier ripping NWOBHM songs. Lots of harmonization in the guitars and vocals. Very Rush like in places as well. Overall a good band. And Paul Mario Day's vocals are pretty good this time around.

I,also, need some advice from you, dude.Je veux me mettre au progressif;but apart from Marillion and a few Pink Floyd albums(Dark Side,Wish you Were Here),i'm a total ignorant;so,which are the best albums to begin ,for bands like Genesis,Yes,King Crimson,or others?Help me,dude!

Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway & Selling England by the Pound
King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King & Red
Yes - Relayer & Tales from Topographic Oceans
Van der Graaf Generator - World Record
ELP - Brain Salad Surgery

GENTLE GIANT - THE POWER AND THE GLORY

al those albums have to be considered classics by any prog-lover... I think that would be a nice place to start from you... expecting feedback on your impressions too :D

slight emphasis

Give this one a try:

PRO-PAIN - BETTER HALF OF FOREVER

Pro-Pain are one of my favorite bands. They're a hardcore band with metal...grooves, I guess. Not metalcore, not even close. They're brutal, but virtually all of their songs have that "bob ya head" groove to them. They kick ass.

Anyway, this song was on their Fistful Of Hate album from last year. I was pretty impressed with it. It's got some really nice metal touches.

Agreed Paul Mario Day's vocals are great in wildfire.

Yes particularly in the songs "Violator" "Another Daymare" and "Victim of Love". Also "THe Key" from Summer Lightning.
