Not the worst, but definitely the most overrated band! I really tried hard to like them at first...

1. Worst Power Metal Band - Rhapsody

2. Worst Thrash Metal Band - Metallica (New)

3. Worst Death Metal Band - Cannibal Corpse

5. Worst Grindcore Band - Disgorge

7. Worst Nu-Metal Band (yeah, I had to throw in that one) - Linkin Park

9. Worst "Melodic-Death" Band (okay, I think I know where a good 90% of the votes will go here) - Now it's In Flames but they were once the greatest.

11. Worst Metal Band Overall - Brisk (Local band from my city)

New Metallica is not a thrash metal band, dude! You should know that!

And have you listened to the last Cannibal Corpse album,at least? If the answer is yes,how can you say they are the worst death metal band?...But maybe you're just kidding

Metallica were once thrash and I believe they still consider themselves to be thrash, that is why I consider them to be thrash, however bad it is. I have listened to all Cannibal Corpse albums up until the latest one and I hated them all so much that I didn't really see the need to listen to their latest 'effort'.

Not to be rude or anything, but I think this thread is kinda stupid. The bands most of you people say are "the worst band ever" are band that both play and compose quite well. Whether you like it or not is a different issue. I can't stand Pain Of Salvation, they are the most overrated prog band I've ever heard, but I'm not ignorant enough to say they are the worst band in the genre. How can a band like Rhapsody, who has virtouso musicians, possibly be the worst band ever? I've heard bands even worse than Six Feet Under, believe it or not.

that's because many metalheads have that philosophy that if they don't like it or happen to know a similar band, that they like better, then it either suck or is considered overrated. Of course some of the bands really do suck... and there's no daubt that a band like Metallica is overrated f.ex....

Its quite simple. The person who says that Rhapsody is his least favourite band says so because Rhapsody is his least favourite band. Therefore, one can say that Rhapsody is the worst band ever. Obviously, one does not mean this literally, as one cannot know every single band. Therefore, junior, we can take it as a figure of speech and not have a need to make a post saying how stupid this thread is because its all opinions anyway and nobody knows who the real worst band is. Its incredible, I know!

That just goes to prove that even virtuoso musicianship can't save Rhapsody from being the worst band ever!!!

Sometimes I intentionally make myself listen to crappy music so that I can go back to a metal band that I had previously doubted and listen to it. Oh, it sounds much more bearable. Even better if you listen to a favorite band instead.

Do you also smash your head into a wall over and over because it feels so good when you stop?
