I didn't like them, they sounded like something I would not wish to listen to. I think your friend is wrong.
And listen to something yourself before posting about it.

not bad, saw them live at Rock Werchter last summer(one of the best festivals in the world and not even a mile from my house :D )
now, as i said, not bad but surely not godly

not bad but not great either...

just another trendy band out of the UK... and I don't see a great future for Bloc Party but I might be wrong... 8)

Anyway, I don't like this band. Just another trendy pop group - the UK is flooded with them at the moment. The song with the animated video was decent though, the guy's voice reminds me of Robert Smith.
