This is fucking insane stuff, yet totally amazing. The closest I can come to is psychedelic power/heavy metal, but that doesn't do it justice. Anyone else heard any of this?

I heard one of their songs on Wednesday night (can't remember the name of it) and I was highly impressed.

Didn't they used to be a BM band?

It was going to come out through Century Mediocre, but they refised because they used a certain technology to record it based on audio weapons being developed for WWII; one of the guy's from Sigh was supposedly taken to the hospital because he has unexpalined headaches, became pale white and lost weigh. Anyway, killer album, my fav Power Metal album for this year. I'll maybe try to review it, but I'm worried 'cause I'm not informed on the PM lingo and stuff... I guess It'll be a PM review from a BM point of view...

Oh well... stay tuned, maybe I'll do it.

"In 2004, SIGH recorded their sixth album, 'Gallows gallery', but Century Media refused to release it as it contains parts applying the infamous sonic weapon techniques experimented with during World War II. 'Gallows gallery' marks the debut album for drummer Harashima. It also has various guest musicians like: Niklas Sundin (DARK TYRANQUILLITY), Killjoy (NECROPHAGIA) and Gunface (The RED CHORD)! This album definitely has the good old heavy metal vibe from the 80s along with various musical influences from classical music, black metal, jazz, to sonic weapon experimentation! You are now warned that this album could do harm to your health. Kawashima had strange dizziness, migraine headache, and extreme ghastly pale tone while working on the 'Gallows gallery' and had to be hospitalized!"

If you don't have an urge to buy the album now, I don't know what will motivate you then.

I'm an old sigh fan and I listened to one track from their new album via myspace. I thought it was awful.

Awesome, eh? And some reviews of old Sigh would be appreciated (maybe with my 'multiple album review' idea, see the site forum).

It definately takes some getting used to, but I love crazy shit like that.

I'm glad others can enjoy it and Sigh will always be cool, but I knew this time would come as parts of Imaginary Sonicscape were losing me. I'll just keep listening to Hail Horror Hail.

I've listened to most of it, and it's pretty good, no health warning on it like I was expecting though.
