Spear of Longinus - Nada Brahma

Baptism - Wisdom and Hate (REALLY happy about finding this one)

Burzum - Filosofem

Velvet Cacoon - Northsuite

And I could have bought Strid's best of compilation for 22$, but decided against it, at least until I have an idea of what the general opinion on the album is. Ah well.

Picked up these today:

Ayreon - The Final Experiment (2CD)
Epica - We Will Take You With Us

I thought Epica was good? :( At first listen on the way home, this CD seems rather boring and lackluster.

EDIT: I take that back, I gave it a good listen while surfing the net and it's very good. It's a compilation CD, though, right? They don't even list it in their discography on the site, only a DVD by the same name with different things on it.

recently purchased the following :

- Fiona Apple "Extraordinary Machine" (extraordinary album)
- The Cardigans "Super Extra Gravity" (I love Nina ! )
- Dada "Live : Official Bootleg (vol.1)" (great underrated indie american rock band)
- Dog Fashion Disco "The City is Alive Tonight (Live in Baltimore)" (that I have yet to hear)
- Enon "Lost Marbles and Exploded Evidence" (great indie pop trio, 2 boys, 1 Japanese Girl  )
- Hubert Felix Thiefaine "Scandale Mélancolique" (french singer)

...not so metal !

That new Cardigans CD is much less melodic than Gran Turismo, wouldn't you say? I was verging on boredom at times. :? Fine Wine is still great, though!

well... as I've said, I love Nina... so call me a fanboy (I am !) but I loooove this new album

my cardigans/nina list :
1- Gran Turismo 95/100
2- Emmerdale 90/100
3- A Camp (Nina's solo project) 85/100
4- Life 75/100
5- Long Gone Before Daylight 70/100
6- First Band on the Moon 60/100 (this is imho the worst album they ever released though it's still better than whatever Britney or the others of her kind will ever release  )

It's too early to tell about this new one but the odds are quite good ! :D

I'd also like to mention the great metal/hard rock covers The Cardigans did : Sabbath Bloody Sabbath & Iron Man (Black Sabbath), Mr Crowley (Ozzy Osbourne) & The Boys Are Back in Town (Thon Lizzy) and to say that Nina has the cutest feet ever

Her voice is certainly very sensual, heh heh heh.. but then I get the same feeling from when Garm sings "catastrophe, oh oh oh.." as I do when Nina sings that really low "weird" on Junk of the Hearts..

I don't really know why I shared that

I just posted about it in the Prog forum. Would you consider this AOR/Rock? On first listen it seemed like metal/power metal mostly...with some rock influence, am I wrong? I only listened once so far up to the horrible cover of "My Sharona." That ruined the mood! Hahaha.
