"Back in 1999, Phil Anselmo, Fenriz (Darkthrone), Satyr (Satyricon), Kiljoy (Necrophagia) and Maniac (Mayhem (Nor)) started a "supergroup" called Eibon...." then they broke due to their schedule, what a shame  l

I very happy that this band never made it far :? ... Phil Anselmo in bm is a big no no ( I know he have had (appeared in) other bm crappy bm bands, such as Viking Crown) ... what the fuck where they thinking when they teamed up with Phil?!?... hmm... perhaps... " money!!!!"

http://www.moonfog.no/artists.asp?id=63&art=12 <-- samples on the page.. crappy crap...

I don't understand why Phil is so enthusiastic about black metal. He sucks at it and he sucks at pretty much everything.

And the worst part is Fenriz being a part of this.

i loved Phil in Pantera before he fucked up his voice.

anyways, why do you say it's about money? there's little cash to be made there unless you're in cradle of filth (yeah, false bm bla bla bla, but you get the point).

well... you don't have to be CoF or DB to earn money on bm... take Emperor f.ex... they have sold over 500.000 cd's... you don't think that'll help on your bank account? ... and if you make a group with such members of Eibon they will also draw some attention from the fans of their own bands, such as the Pantera fans...most likely only a few, he he... the Darkthrone, Satyricon and Mayhem fans probably would have a bigger affection towards the band... especielly newcomers to bm always buy lot's (if not only CoF and DB) norwegian stuff from the well-known"giants" ... but you get the point...

anyway... it was a mere joke  ... yet containing some truth...

I'm always hearing "black metal" and "crap" in the same sentence. Coincidence?

Definitely. One of my very headbang triggering albums. Another is Aura Noir - Black Thrash Attack. now that's a very headbang friendly album.

Maybe Phil should get together with That Little Shit From Trivium, and they could get the guy from Creed and the gay one from Linkin Park = perfect Blackened Black Metal!
