A very well-deserving CD! A shame that it had to be a death that expedited the decision to make this classic, but a classic it is.

I'm pretty sure Aron was gonna review it anyway, I dont think Piggy's death had anything to do with it. But maybe Piggy's death delayed the Harbinger review. Anyway I'm not suprised, or upset so its cool.

Um... oh fuck, I forgot about that entirely. Next weeks update, you'll see it, I swear.

And yeah, I was gonna review it anyway.

I like Roooaar and War and Pain better, but thats just me. Still I love this album cuz I'm heavier than all destructors.

Never did dig them that much, somehow; except War and Pain. I will give them credit for their giving thanks to Cronos, Mantas and Abbadon in the liner notes of War and Pain, though... not enough bands acknowledge
the Black Metal Gods for pavng the way by breaking down all the barriers of that seminal era, at least in the realm of metal.

I personally prefer Angel Rat, Nothingface, Voivod, Negatron and the Outer Limits. Definately one of the most interesting Sci-Fi, Technical, Progressive Thrash outifits!

Great to see Voivod included in the classics; I've never been a huge fan of them, but they definitely deserve attention. Another tragedy strikes the Metal community... R.I.P. Piggy.

I know little of them...I remember someone a few years ago commented an Opeth review by saying that he heard some Voivod in Opeths music...Mr. Åkerfelt likes jazz for sure...

This is the only Voivod album I've ever heard and it's absolutely stunning. Is all Voivod this great?

their debut War & Pain is raw thrash with a punk edge, good album

their 3rd, Killing Technology is in the same vein as DH, a little simpler but with the same overall qualities

Nothingface, 4th album, is more melodic and progressive while keeping the Voivod touch very much alive

Angel Rat is kind of Voivod's way to play Hair Metal, it's good but far from Voivod's best

finally, for the "classic" era, Outer Limits is closer to Nothingface...

all those albums are worth checking imo :D

T.I.E. forgot to mention RRRÖÖÖAAARRR, the second album. It's pretty much on the lines of the first stylistically. A bit more weird maybe.
