I never got what the big deal about Reign in Blood is. Raining Blood and Angel of Death are good songs but I don't think the rest of the album's that special.

Give it another spin then!

Ya, because listening to an album you weren't impressed with again is going to make you change your opinion completely.

gotta agree with Brahm on this one.

anyways, i too don't feel RIB is as great as some people say it is... but it's still pretty damn good (i'd rate it 90+).

to me Slayer don't have any album i can listen to from start to finish but they have loads of excellent songs divided by each album.

Don't get me wrong, I like it. I like it a lot, in fact. I just don't think it's the beginning and the end of thrash metal the way some people treat it.

Maybe he is saying that slayer is just easier to listen than kreator... more accessible..

Just because a person prefers to listen to something (or "likes more than") something else doesn't mean they must believe that what they prefer is a better band. And being a better band can take on several possible characteristics regardless of what the author had in mind.

I probably would agree with Dago as well. I think Slayer is generally more accessible, and it's certainly more well-known.

Oh, and for the record, I vote Kreator. I do like some of Slayer's material, but overall, I prefer Kreator. And I think they're a better band.

Slayer has always been a favorite of mine. Seasons in the Abyss still gets my vote for "Greatest Heavy Metal Album Of All Time."

As for Kreator, you're in luck. I just bought Violent Revolution today. My first Kreator record. I'll listen to it tomorrow and then give my thoughts.

It happens. At first I wasn't too fond of Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? But after listening to it for the first time in almost three years, I was completely blown away. Now it's one of my three favorite Megadeth albums.

Not the best choice, but still a pretty good album. Enjoy it.

I know you prefer Darkness Descends and Pleasure to Kill over Reign in Blood.

To me Reign in Blood =Rage unleashed but controlled
Pleasure to Kill=Rage unleashed not controlled

Couldn't say which one i like best.

As for Dark Angel i only own Leave Scars which i find....let's say some songs are a bit too long and the production is a bit crappy.

Can you give your opinion on the other Dark Angel albums, please :) ?

Reign In Blood just doesnt thrash as hard as Pleasure To Kill, and Darkness Descends. RIB is made out of mostly speed riffs. Of the 3 albums my fav is Darkness Descends, it combines the raw thrashing aggression of Pleasure To Kill and the technicality of Reign In Blood. Feel free to disagree :).

Darkness Descends you've heard the opinions of.
We Have Arrived is good but not anything special, just primitive, nice, early thrash.
Time Does Not Heal is completely awesome technical thrash.

kreator's worst should be either endorama or enemy of god, though enemy of god was quite good.

as for slayer, it doesnt really matter which is their best, since kreator's worst owns all of them.

I'd say its their worst album, but still pretty good. I wouldn't judge Dark Angel on that album.

This has to be an outright lie. Do you really believe that Endorama iis better than anything Slayer have ever released?
