Ya, Possessed expecially.. Like nearly all good death metal bands, they have more than a fair amount of thrash in them.

That was my problem with the list. There are a lot of bands who have made great albums that would comfortably fit in both thrash and death genres.

Hah. That's actually what I meant. I confused the two of them, which are the only two of theirs that I have (edited).

And also, I forgot to mention Torture Squad's Pandemonium.

Try looking for The Wild Stream Of Eternal Sin, their only album. You can download samples off their site. I wouldnt say they are great..

I'm looking for at least mp3s of other Japanese thrash bands. Cut Throat, Sacrifice, Jurassic Jade, and more.

effin a, i can never find ANYTHING from that band around here....i want to hear them so bad...::cries and gets over it::...

anyway

metallica-master of puppets

you know what, i'm just gonna skip the bay-area thrash scene because i love almost all of it-testament, exodus, megadeth, slayer...so many good bands...

kreator-pleasure to kill
coroner - Punishment For Decadence
sepultura- Arise, Beneath the Remains
destruction- all of it

and i know this doesn't count but there used to be a local band around here called childcraft that was thrashtastic...

Well old Death Metal bands were just really heavy thrash metal bands. So if the lines are skewed between some Death and Thrash metal bands then it should come as no suprise. Possessed Kreator, old sepultura....all of these bands were essentially Death/thrash...and paved the way Death metal as a genre.

Let me think. Here's what comes immediately to my mind

1) Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss
2) Sodom - Tapping The Vein
3) Anacrusis - Reason
