Get more DT if you only have Character, The Gallery is especially awesome. Also try Darkane - Rusted Angel. And I must second the Hypocrisy recommendation.

Neuraxis is another one of those bands that is similar to BDM and better in every possible way.

Black Dahlia is ok, but for less complex and shorter songs, but yeah there are tons of true mellow death out there that slay! Far more than what the American mainstream would lead you to believe. Dont get involved in all that hype, just look, listen and absorb

I'm agreeing with Jaden here. I'm a pretty big fan of both BDM albums. In addition, they've really matured as a live act with their stable lineup. The first time I saw them live, they blew but now they're really good.
