I've sincerely tried to like Soulfly but I could just never get into them. I do like the whole tribal thing - except that there really wasn't anywhere else it could go after Sepultura's Roots. Now it's really just a worn-out gimmick. It's quite sad, really, because Sepultura released some truly excellent material in the early-mid 90s (Chaos AD still being one of my absolute favorite metal albums of all time - I probably should've voted for that rather than The Ritual in my poll). And now they're basically scraping the bottom of the barrel while Max (their heart and soul) is out there beating a dead horse with Soulfly.
