I just heard about a minute of Gates of Heaven.... what am I saying, just heard? I've been listening to the same measely clip for the past hour! I'm entranced. Does anyone own this album? Maybe heard the whole thing? I figure it's pretty rare and important, because some jackass on ebay is selling it under the condition of 60$ s&h. But, I'm pretty sure I just wanna hear more.

What are your thoughts on the album, and for that matter, the band in general?

hm i'm pretty sure they were mentioned in Terrorizer's black metal special, apparently they were around right when it started.

No, I think he means that NSBM band from Germany. At least Facta Loquntuur is their album.

I didn't really like Facta Loquuntur. Wervolf and Der Sieg ist Unser are good tracks though. The clean vocals are pretty fucking terrible at times.

I own a copy of the first pressing of the album, and there are exactly 2 reasons why I didn't throw it away already:

1) Pesttanz is a fun song;
2) I'm a collector anyway, and I wouldn't gain much space by moving a single cd from the shelf into the garbage bin anyway.

Absurd really live up to their name in that they are absurdly overrated. Of all the stuff I've heard from them, I'd salvage the last three releases (Totenlieder, Raubritter and Blutgericht) and some riffs from Asgardsrei. Hell, most of their old, so-called "classic" stuff could be barely classified as Metal anyway.

Had I a far less sucky pc, I'd be glad to. Unfortunately I usually did this kind of stuff with programs such as MSN or ICQ, but they won't run on this piece of trash anymore :(

I don't like Absurd at all, but the new album, Totengelieder or something, was perpendicular to their old stuff and kicked soo much ass!!
