except for the ballads, both Boston and Kansas blow in my opinion. They were just waiting on 80s bands to fix the missing elements that made the music grande

For shame, man, for shame. I'm not big on Kansas, but Boston kicks ass.

Boston's first album is among my favorites of all time. Kansas was pretty weak though. But of all those arena rock bands...Boston was best.

Boston RULES!!!

All my friends in high school would make fun of me b/c they listened to rap and I listened to Boston and Journey and Foreigner etc.

Now they make fun of me even more b/c I listen to Edguy and PowerQuest and Freedom Call etc. :)

I will give you Boston was superior of the two, but i prefer the sound that REO Speedwagon steemed off of Arena Rock with the addiction of love songs and more ballads than rockers. Same with Early Scorpions material, which far exceeds there later so called "rocking stages". I know most do not like the "sappy" approach, but I prefer it and that is why i typically only like the Boston mid tempo to Ballads. Kansas i coould never get into in the least, but besides this fact the new Edguy cannot be compared to the early 80s late 70s bands, but needs to be more refined to mid to early 90s rock.

Indeed. It is a great EP. I actually think the piano version of "Superheroes" shows what a great song it is. Both versions are excellent.
