Definite HIT!

I dont care if they did go mainstream after their previous masterpieces. The album works. How many hits do you wanna count on one album. Not one filler, maybe a weakish track, but thats it.
I dont care how many time i hear Enter Sandman on the radio, i still turn it up as loud as i can and still pump my fist when Hetfield pulls out that big "Owww" after that few seconds break towards the end of the song.
Sad But True kicks ass, The Unforgiven kicks ass, Of Wolf & Man kicks ass, Through The Never kicks ass, Wherever I May Roam kicks ass, My Friend Of Misery kicks ass, The God That Failed kicks ass..........ohhh thats it, i'm putting this cd on right now............ :D

Miss.

Metallica wasn't really that good to begin with, and this album is a joke.

My Friend Of Misery is actually pretty rubbish. As is the rest of the album. Come on, how many times can you listen to Enter Sandman?

Well, my friend, you are much stronger willed than I am. I think I'd choose repeated steel toe boot kicks to the balls over listening to that song again for the 100,000th time.

Definite HIT ! . I din't like this album on the first listen, but on repeated listens, it stayed in my player for many days. Yes, it isn't as fast or furious as previous metallica stuff, but who cares? This is a solid metal album. This happened to be the first metallica album i listened to and wasn't fully aware of the impact this album had created at that time. Like it or not, it did have a major impact on the metal scene. Would i be able to accept this album had i started off listening to metallica from KEA onwards? Yes. If i can accept the change in direction of Megadeth, Maiden and other bands, i would be able to accept metallica's slowing down too. I'd say this is metallica's second best album after AJFA. An 87/100 for me. The god that failed had a weak chorus, the rest of it is solid. My friend of misery is the other weak track in this album. Apart from those two tracks, it is a strong album. Metallica had slowed down and it sounded natural. Load and Reload sounded forced on certain tracks. Metallica screwed up their own tracks on S&M And as for st. anger, well, that just sounded like two skeletons trying to fuck each other on an asbestos roof. Noise with some laughable vocals.
