Partial credit. It is Gustave Doré, but he is not a painter. He's engraver.

I thought people here would be too dumb, so I didn't prepare a golden star. So I had to make one in Photoshop. Here you go.

Scratch that question, here's a harder one!

How many spikes are on that wristband? There's no penalty for guessing too low, but for every nail over the actual number, you get one herpe. Happy sleuthing!
