What is your opinion of their catalogue up until now?

I'm a big fan of their first three albums and enjoy Hatecrew Deathroll (though nowhere near as much as their first three). On this album, they sound more like a shitty metalcore/mallcore band with good solos than Children of Bodom.

And you can listen to it for yourselves:

I give the new album a 55/100 after the first listen.

that's about what i would give it. tracks 8 & 9 stood out beyond the rest for me. and by "standing out", i mean 1/5 as good as the worst track on hatebreeder...

Coming from a huge CoB fan, believe me, this album is awful. "Bastards of Bodom" is ok sounding like a reject track off the nonexistant album that came between Follow the Reaper and Hatecrew Deathroll.

I'm still going to see them and I'll still follow them because I doubt that they'll play a lot of this horseshit live.

Yes, Bastards of Bodom is the best track, though thats not saying much. And I'm more than sure that their setlist will mainly include this crap for the next little while.

I wasn't a huge fan of Hatecrew, but even that makes this album look crippled, yet when I saw them live, they only played about 4 tracks from that album, and many of my favorites from their older albums.

I finally heard the whole thing. I think my ears are bleeding. I'm extremely sad; I'm a big Bodom fan.

I'm sure it sucked before I made my threats. Besides, you're the one who chose to sing that song. You can't just do such things with impunity. Actions have consequences. Sometimes those consequences just happen to involve power tools.

The twenty year old in me is nodding my head, but the 5 year old is yelling:
BOYS WILL LAUGH AT GIRLS WHEN THEY'RE NOT FUNNEEEEEEEEE!

My 5 year-old self isn't afraid of chainsaws. Lucky bugger.

I'm not entirely sure what a slag is, being a stupid American, but if it means that I have a five-year-old quartered in my fridge, yes. Yes, I am a slag.
